]]>Though both cards are issued by Bancorp.
Not sure why results would differ between cards, but it didn’t work for me.
I’m not too concerned. If I decide to go another round in 6 months, I’ll just use my friends chime card again - or just get my own.

]]>I don’t clear cache on apps I use regularly because every time you relaunch the app all the cache has to reload slowing the apps load time down.
That’s a great point Avid08. I only ever cleared the bloatware and Addons that I wasn’t using. That’s why I never loaded one of those TDUK apps that cleared cache.
]]>Just know that the stuff that Amazon bakes into the Firestick will keep loading stuff ALL the time in those applications. Like Mr. Wizzard posted above…
…and to answer your question about adding Apps and addons. You really should have the VPN if you are streaming. Other than that add what you want and routinely use and just keep an eye on the Applications so that it doesn’t get over-bloated.
Oh, and as far as setting up the Nvidia, I followed a tutorial on YouTube that was great. Let me know if you want a link to that.
]]>It didn’t work. Twice, it didn’t work. Once tried with an ad blocking browser. The 2nd time, just with vanilla chrome.
I wasn’t too disappointed, as I have 3 years of PM.
Fast forward a few days - I had a friend suggest that I tried using his reloadable CHIME credit card, using it to pay on my account.
It worked first try.
Go figure.
So, if anyone feels inclined to go to a Walmart and load up a Chime card - it worked for me.
YMMV.
]]>If anyone wants to correct me on this, please do so.
It’s been forever since I’ve used a Firestick but my first suggestion, for what is worth, would be to wipe the stick and slowly load up only what is necessary. Downloader, SS VPN and whatever you use consistantly but slowly add…as in not all at once.
When I did use a Firestick, at end of each day I would look at the Applications and see what was loading up. So Applications > open Manage Installed Applications. In this area you should be able to see what is loading up your Stick. You could also try to delete anything that Amazon has loaded that you never use. Some of that stuff is hardwired into the stick and can’t be eliminated but you should be able to clear any cache and possibly clear data. Just as a note, as you will see, is that even if you are not using some of the stuff that Amazon has hardwired in still loads all kinds of data and cache. I called it “cleaning house”.
I eventually bought a Fire Cube, but then moved onto the Nvidia Shield Pro.

BTW, you brought up the “Check the log for more info”. I’ve dealt with this on several occasions and finally decide to look up how to do that.
Per Google search:
The “Check the Log for More Information” error in Kodi usually appears when there is an issue with the add-ons or repositories installed on your Kodi system. Here are some steps to help you fix Kodi error in 2023:
Check your internet connection: Ensure that your Kodi system is connected to the internet and has a stable connection.
Clear Kodi cache: Navigate to the Kodi settings, click on “File Manager,” and then click on “Profile Directory.” Select the “Database” folder and delete the “Textures13.db” file.
Disable Add-ons: Try disabling all add-ons installed on your Kodi system and then re-enable them one at a time to determine which add-on is causing the error.
Update Kodi: Ensure that you are running the latest version of Kodi, as some older versions may have compatibility issues with certain add-ons.
Check Log file: Access the Kodi log file by navigating to “Settings” > “System” > “Logging” and set the “Enable setting bug Logging” option to “On.” Then, reproduce the error and check the log file for any error messages or details on what may be causing the issue.
Reinstall Add-ons: If the error persists, try uninstalling and reinstalling the add-ons that are causing the issue.
Clear Data and Cache of Kodi: If none of the above steps work, try clearing the data and cache of Kodi by navigating to “Settings” > “Apps” > “Kodi” > “Storage” > “Clear Data” and “Clear Cache”.
If the error still persists, you may need to seek assistance from the Kodi community or technical support.
