First of all, I am sure I was a very early member.
Be that as it may, my SONY does most of what I need, internally. Needs a couple of Tb of external. Twin x 4 Tb would have been nice.
I do need a powerful Android box. I also need it to appear to be a super tablet to Playstore.
So, comments.
Power is great but it must load and run the drivers for CamRanger2 in a totally legit and supported manner. Can’t do it on the Sony despite the potential as an unbeatable monitor for tethered photography. Modern technical photography produces “Stacks” of big files.
Big storage, 4Tb for starters.
USB 2 just not good enough. A new piece of kit deserves Thunderbolt.
Benchmark now is Wi - Fi 7. Disappointing.
Several concurrent connections would drag us back up to the '70s!
Internet connection plus a direct connection, minimum.
Possible with '486 machies and IBM 6150 / RS 2000.
Very tricky with a PC.
Also crucial is the ability to manipulate / modify PDF files.
Streaming, etc easy. Sony with Kodi does the job a treat.
