Thanks to all about FORMULER and the new one. But am finding a flaw. The MOL3 application will not update the EPG for more than a couple days. Comparing that to exact same source in SPARKLE or TIVIMATE where we get five days in advance.
My EPG provider is EPG.BEST so know that it is working with XML files.
Do other users of FORMULER have better results with MOL3?
Mike, are you pulling the trigger for the new Formuler? Pricey little hummer, isn’t it?
Regarding price, I would wait until regional outlets have it in stock such as https://www.formulerus.com/ and https://www.formulerstore.com/

Friend just cancelled his order for Z11 pro max BT ( UK price £149) to get Z12 ultra (£169 worth it for more internal storage & new remote )- on a waiting list, orders will start shipping next week
Had to pull the plug and pre order the beast especially as it has dolby vision, returned my Google Streamer 4k in a heartbeat.
If you don’t mind me asking, where did you order yours from?

The Z12 Ultra is one sweet looking box but seems pricey at over $300. The RealTek processor in the Z12 is the same as the Z11. Not as powerful or advanced as the Amlogic S905X5M. The 128 gbs of internal memory and Dolby Vision with HDR10 is nice but what about the other hardware and specs? Is 64 bit processing enabled and does the Z12 have AI upscaling? Just some questions to ponder in view of the Ugoos AM9 being about half the price and having most advanced features.

It has DV which is a plus but then they leave off DTS audio. Seems there is always a tradeoff. For that price, no DTS is a nogo for me. Interesting looking remote though.
I wonder when Buzz is going to release their hinted DV capable device(s) and what audio support etc.
It would be nice if there was a “no compromise” device released by someone, it seems like the Shield Pro was the last attempt and it has been spectacular but is showing its age these days.
It would be interesting to see if the Z12 has any manual sound setting options. The Ugoos AM9 has the capability for all Dolby sound fields, including Atmos, along with DTS X and Master HD Audio. These can be enabled manually in the sound settings for compatibility with AV receivers.

There is no ai upscaling according to the formuler forum, pretty much the same cpu but maybe a different revision but still not an upgrade. There are way better options for that price bracket, ugoos am8, sk1 and am9.

Yes a Ugoos device with the Amlogic s928x is the better choice over the new Formuler because of the full audio pass through of lossless audios and they also have Ai upscaling. Though I don’t personally use the Ai features because my LG G4 does a great job of upscaling tbf. I don’t need a 64bit OS as I don’t use gaming emulators.
If you do want the Formuler MOL3 iptv player and dedicated remote and don’t need full audio pass through and Ai upscaling that the Z12 may not have or an 64bit os for gaming emulators then it may be the right device for some users. Also the z12 is uncertified so most official streaming apps won’t run in their max resolutions and some may not even run.

I think the formuler boxes have always been a bit on the expensive side. There are other realtek boxes that do pretty much the same. Is their iptv software worth the extra? When you have tivimate.
