The systems “Android Live TV” app had potential because you were supposed to able to add sources (apps) to the Live TV app’s contents. Unfortunately, there weren’t an abundance of apps that were compatible, and I could only get 1-2 apps to actually load their content.
Unfortunately, you can’t even uninstall that app. The best you can do is disable it. Currently I only Xumo that will load its content. So, what’s the point of having this app that I can only load one app’s content? Might as well just use the Xumo app.

I found so many of these supposed “friendly” apps to be exactly the opposite. TiViMate and a couple of paid services and I’m g2g.

Live TV (locals), sports, and PPV are what makes iptv a preferred resource. A lot of iptv programs are gleaned from standalone apps such as, samsung+, CW, Xumo, Pluto, Redbox, Peacock, etc… So, having all these apps content in one place serves as a convenience to the user.
For someone who is not interested in sports. Then having an antenna (indoor or outdoor), a few quality free apps, and add in something like Stremio and that would satisfy probably 75% of the cord cutters.
Hell, with the way the new TV are being manufactured. You could most likely even forgo a standalone streaming device and just load on the Smart TV the 2-3 apps you want, a VOD app, hook up a $10 indoor antenna and you are all set.

I know others who have done exactly that. Unfortuately I tried OTA and it never lived up to the hype for me. For the small cost of IPTV, it has turned out to be all I need, with the least amount of effort and amazing satisfaction.
So much to learn and countless options, not to mention the ever evolving streaming devices.

OTA still offers relevant value, as even with many iptv users, local networks are still a hit and miss inclusion.
Rewind back to the eighties, an OTA lineup that we get today would be a brag point luxury.

I wouldn’t know what to do anymore without RD. Looking back to the days of free stuff that also included lots of buffering. Like JayHawke said, don’t post complaints about not getting any good links, I don’t want to pay for anything, etc… This subject is getting very old and the only ones that should even ask would be the newbies that haven’t a clue. It took me awhile to bite the bullet because I know RD is a foreign company and I didn’t like the idea of dealing with them. But I got over it very quickly after seeing what was provided. If not RD then try some of the others, but you’ll probably drift back to RD

If you are going to pay $10 for a cheap antenna, you might as well pay for a good IPTV Service.

That’s $10 bucks for a one time purchase. The iptv is $10 bucks a month or more and a “good” iptv could cost $20 bucks a month.

I see what ya saying, but you can’t beat IPTV. Most people pay more for the trash they eat or drink every day! Not to mention what they smoke each day.
Just sayin’ if someone is on a fixed income and is strapped for finances. Then they can get by using a few dree and legal apps, maybe a VOD app, and install it directly on their TV and forgo even the expense of buying a streaming device.
Ex: Samsung+, Pluto, Plex apps or free m3u’s. Add a free VOD app and a cheap indoor antenna. This way you would have an assortment of channels, including all your locals, and access to Movie & TV VOD. All for about a total of $10 bucks.
As money permits, then you can add a paid iptv service and enjoy more of the cord cutting experience.

Wouldn’t dream of streaming without Real Debrid. Have used it for over 4 years. Inexpensive, well worth it.

Real DeBrid is a winner in my book, and worth every penny. It takes the stress out of streaming.
So your real debrid turns into aldebrid with a second payment. Then you can’t even login and put the stupid 4 letter code in. So about $40 has been paid now, no results, JUST A SCAM

Wrong! Check which one you subscribed to. They are two separate companies. Besides, the most time you can sign up for is 180 days (6 months) and costs only about $17 bucks USD. Below is a link to the real-debrid plan and subscription page.
