Thanks Troy, for all that you do and those that are working behind the scene. This is a Great site. This is my first post. I agree. I’m a reader and I see people starting new posts on topics that have already been addressed. The search tool is my best friend. I have been apart of other communities back in the days of testing. A newbie would get chewed out for not reading and doing a search. We have to get out of the microwave mentality of wanting instant gratification. Thanks again for making and keeping this a Great! community.

By being an older person, I have experienced the same in general and understand your frustration, it is a different world, for me and I am sure for many, especially for those who do not have expanded “technical” skills. (NO judgment) In today’s world one dot (.) or (one space) can make all the difference. I have also learned it is not what question you ask as much as how to compile the questions to be asked. Again, no judgment here. Just describing some of what I have experienced working in a fast-paced environment where IT / IS is involved. I have learned that the search has to be narrowed, and what terms, words, and indicators used make a huge difference in the technical issue. What has helped me in many cases, for example, I have looked for words, going from one site to another, and going to different links/sites and using keywords that have helped me compile information, like the different terms and descriptions of the data that can help us clarify, in the information we are seeking, I am just sharing my experience after many hours of frustration, and my son telling me “user error”. My final thought is that this method has helped me and the many individuals I have frustrated in asking for help, LOL. Just sharing my thoughts, Happy Holiday everyone!
