I’m not really familiar with your firestick, but a couple of thoughts.

Is there sufficient storage on the device, to accommodate the installation of the app. Clear cache from storage on your device.

Is install unknown apps enabled.

Check that your downloads folder does not have the file there. If so, install it from there.
This is the official download page, just in case you need it.
And you could always try to send the file from phone to firestick, using ATV Tools or " send anywhere".
Just make sure that there isnt any sort of old Syncler app, already installed on the firestick.
Failing that, you may wish to set the device to factory and try again.
Finally if nothing resolves the isuue, i suggest you might want to raise it on Discord under " launch discussion, or indeed support tab.

I have Syncler v1 on Nvidia Shield Pro. I now understand that to upgrade to v2, I must first delete v1. I am nervous about this. Is there a good tutorial, preferably a video tutorial, that can guide me through the process?

Scary and big step for me.
I do not have the Syncler app on my iPhone. So, I should install the app on my phone? Then delete the Syncler app on my Shield? Then install v2 on my phone?
Installing the provider always seemed tricky to me.
Also, will I have to reinstall my debris service?

Hi
You can’t install the app on ypur iphone. But you can do it from a tablet, or android phone, which is easier. Then once its set up, you can install it on your set top box, and it will sync across.
Once you have all your settings as you want them, make a backup.
Backups can be restored across multiple devices.
If you follow the migration link that @miki sent, you will be fine.
Just take your time.

Settings> app and data management. Scroll down> click on backup restore. Options are " backup/ restore.
Click backup. But make sure that you have set up all your personal settings first etc.

Nope. Yoh can keep it alongside until dev decides to no longer maintain it. Afaik, that could be sometime next month. But i stand to be corrected.
Just remember, that you cannot use backups on version 1 for version 2 , and vice versa.
Just be aware that when setting up version 2 for the first time, you will need to create a user account> email and password.
Check that you have S+, debrid, trakt and vendors/ pkgs set up correctly.
Then thereafter all your settings> debrid> trakt> S+ key> vendors and home catalogue are saved to your account. Hence every time that there is an update, there is no need to set them up again.
And of course your backup is always available. All you need to do in future updates, is to restore it. Saves a lot of hassle😀

I dont want to give out incorrect technical information on the hoster issue.
But basically way back last year when RD had the legal issue, they purged millions of links.
And they changed the API endpoint, and how links/ sources were obtained.
Therefore, Discord Syncler advised to disable that feature.

I updated to the v2 Syncler soon after it came out. I followed Troy’s instructions to the letter however I was never able to add the Jackedup vendor. I eventually found one that works however it has very limited streams. And yes, I did choose the https:// before entering jackedup.com/syncler/vendor.
I would really appreciate some assistance in solving this issue or possibly another suggested provider package that works with v2.
