If you follow the directions, it comes up. Another user with a new firetv managed to get it. It does work. Before saying nothing works please go threw everything to the best of your ability.

See my post at #39, it is there. I was able to jailbreak my new FireTV.

I too just bought an Amazon Fire TV. Went to Device and Software and clicked on About several times. Developer Options then became available which allowed me to continue with the jailbreak. Thanks fellow posters.
