Update: Nvidia warns that the update is not currently Google certified, and adds: “The next official release will have all certifications. The negative side effects we’ve noticed from this so far are listed below and others may appear as time goes on: - You won’t be able to install or update Disney+ from the Playstore if you haven’t installed it yet or do a Factory reset on this image. - HD Homerun DRM channels will not work.”
Also, it’s a modified Android 10 UI not even Android 11.

Was hoping it fixed an issue with my Nvidia/kodi and my router’s vpn but it didnt…

A .1 upgrade change is not really anything big, no? I tend to drag my feet on updates until something goes wrong or the update make a spectacular change. Heck, I haven’t done the upgrade on Kodi to the latest update 
.
But it is good to know that Nvidia still feels that the Shield is still relevant.

Sure hoping the update actually does resolve the issue of the remote not responding, as is being reported. I’ve already put one of my Pro’s in the old device storage bin due to it repeatedly not responding, and am on the verge of doing the same with my other one. Getting very tired of resetting it (which often doesn’t help) and having to use my phone to get the bleeping box to work.

On my 2019 Shield TV I’ve started to get a loud crackling noise in the middle of playback on Stremio. If I click pause and then play it stops but has come back a couple times. Anyone run across this yet?
What is the 4k DRM security patch that comes with the update? That never sounds like a good thing…

Both my Invidia remotes are now fully working. This includes the one in my “storage bin”. The device is more responsive and seems to be running faster. Looks like they’ve tweeked the upscaler.

Highly doubt that will ever happen. I’d bet the Senior exec team at Nvdiia has no idea the Shield even exists. probably less than 1/10 of 1% of their biz. It’s all about GPU’s and AI with Nvdia

Hope that holds. My issue was sporadic but getting more frequent. I applied the upgrade to the box I was still using, and so far it’s working as expected
Try to sync your TV Remote .
I use my Samsung remote for tv and it works for Shield aswell

Since the update I have alot more cache than before and cannot remove it it.
I would like to purchase a NVIDA SHIELD V9.2 where can I get one and at what cost to me!?

I’m not certain that the sale is still going but…
