I use newest build of Kodi and Green Monster build. I am old and hard of hearing so I really need to get the best choices. I am willing to pay and become VIP open subtitles BUT they don’t respond to my messages. So I am asking my fellow patrons and the team for some help.
Q1. most of the providers offer a place to enter the Opensubtitles login. Some just ask for OpenSubtitles login; others for opensubtitles.org login. Does anyone know, if I become a VIP via opensubtitles.com whether The Crew, Seren, Homelander will still allow me to download the subtitles list and select one as it did in the past? The opensubtitles.com website is so confusing to me. I only view via Amazon firestick from within the Kodi build.
I apologize for what is probably a dumb question. I am in the U.S.

I’m always baffled by this topic. I don’t understand the need to set this up. Anytime I have streamed a file from Real Debrid and turned on subtitles they have always been available. And you can go through the basic Kodi subtitle settings to change the size and location on the screen. Is it really that common that subtitles are not available and people need to download them using Open Subtitles?

I agree. Sometimes older shows arent available and one show only gives in German. But generally i get the subtitles w/o issue. Could the build i use be giving me access to the subs?
IIs anyone having an issue with OpenSubtitles.com not downloading subtitles? I’m receiving this message from multiple addons, running in KODI 21.2 Omega.
I find the message in the KODI log….
ConnectionError: HTTPSConnectionPool(host=’www.opensubtitles.com’,port=433): Max retries exceded with url: The url followes…
Another error followes the url… urllib3. Connection.HTTPSConnection object at xxxxxxxxx: Failed to establish a new connection: [Errmo 111] Connection refused.
Has anyone encountered this?
