I tried to use the Umbrella addon on a troy kodi fork. I was able to set up RD and Trakt but i could not find any links to play a movie to test it for you. I know i am doing something wrong but i have no idea.
I’ll stick with builds…so much easier. When done right, you appreciate the easy set up.

There is an option to view in progress eps/movies in the menu of affenity.
Have to install and enable Cocoscrapers with it.

Did you install the Coco Scrapers as well? Umbrella IMO is the best current Addon out there, Lightning Fast, and has the Trakt Scrobbling feature enabled which allows you to resume to where you were in a movie or Show. And I instaslled it within a curent Build. You can install any addon in a Build. It is working great!

I did. I followed troys instructions. It was getting late and maybe i made an error. When i said trakt in the other post i meant coco scrappers. See it was getting late lol.
RD is in the umbrella accounts and coco scrappers is installed.
I dont need it but was tring to help out @Greatstuff.
I’ll stick to my build. Lol

Thank you all for responding and being patient with me. I realize I need a kodi build so on my next day off I am going to install one. I have been looking at Troy’s list of best builds. I want a simple one with easy install and a good add on. We don’t do much other than tv shows and movies. I do have Real Debrid and a
VPN. Don’t know if Trakts is
Necessary. I also read from Troy that I should reset my Kodi before adding the build. Still open to suggestions for builds etc. I am running Omega 21. Thanks all!

As you are learning as you go I would highly recommend that you follow @Jayhawks659 advice. Read his posts, watch his vids and then as you go along reread rewatch. Wash rinse repeat. Eventually I found that things become second nature and if I do have a hiccup I rewatch and reread.

I agree with @Miki the more you learn the easier things get.
You dont need a build but i prefer it because a lot of the extra work after you install addons are usually already done.
As @Jayhawks659s link stated, Umbrella is a great addon. I was trying to set it up without a build last night to test it for you. But being late and not used to all the little extras you need to do i didn’t get it working.
But i did this morning. @Jayhawks659 was right. I forgot to enable coco scrappers after i installed it. Lesson learned, sleep is important. Lol
Anyway, Umbrella does remember where you last watched in tv or movies. You dont need trakt.
Give it a try. Troy has a step by step instructions for both Umbrella and coco scrappers in the same link.

FWIW I’ve been using the Grindhouse Builds for over 6 years now. The same Dev (Mark) has been there since the start and he is on Top of things. You will find working addons (you can add others as well. I added Umbrella) at all times. If interested this is how you can install the Grindhouse Wizard which will take you to their Builds page where you can install over a Dozen different KODI 21 Builds.

@PapaS can you please remove that? That is outdated and the install link is wrong. It was changed a few Years ago. I know because I had those instructions written down and was updating for a Friend and for the life of me couldn’t figure out why I kept getting errors in File Manager. Wasted a lot of time that day

it wasn’t an accusation, it was a simple question. We get alot of people here trying to profit on Troy’s hard work by continuously leaving links to their own websites instead of Troypoint.com

How long have you seen me here and how may posts have you seen from me? If I was some Noob I could understand your concerns but I’ve been here for years and you know it. And I didn’t use Troy’s link because it’s wrong and not up to date. So don’t be accusing me of any of that BS and you don’t need to throw the rules at me and the next time I post that Grindhouse link I guess it will be number 17. Thanks for keeping count

Actually if you want the real truth I didn’t realize who you were because I have a small mind and tend to look at pictures and your avatar is different I just noticed now who you actually are, my bad and I did find it weird two guys called Mark crazy about the Grindhouse builds. Now I got it, very sorry @MarkxG , I’m a di*k. Hope that’s sufficient

If you do a search I’m sure Troy has links to what he considers the best build as well as addons. I’m sorry but I’m not a fan of Kodi in any way. I gave it a try after years of taking a break from it and then discarded all my work after a month or so. The experiment didn’t change my opinions regarding Kodi. GL2U.
