Just fyi. We ended up using EPG BEST. It’s a little harder to use but works nice once set up. At $13 a year for a single ip address of seven days it’s perfect for me

My service just added about a week of listings …so much better than the one day.

I have been using my IPTV service with TiviMate (running on a Shield) for about a month and up until now I haven’t had any issues. The EPG always had about 5 days of information and I had it set to update the EPG every 24 hours.
Today I noticed it only had about 14 hours of information and many channels had no information at all. I manually updated the EPG in TiviMate and some new information was added, but again it was only about 12-14 hours in the future.
I assumed it was an issue with the IPTV provider. But before I contacted them I tried my IPTV account with IPTV Smarters Pro on a Windows machine. When I loaded either the Xtream Codes or M3U, I immediately had 5 days of information and many more channels showing information. So this indicates the problem is with TiviMate or some setting in TiviMate.
By default TiviMate was set to keep the past 7 days of information in the EPG, so I changed that to 1 day and updated the EPG again, but it was still limited to about 14 hours in the future. Any idea what could be causing this?

So Tivimate only uses xml and parse the data so the supplier could be limiting days on their xml output.
Smarters use’s the api for guide data in most cases.
So you will have more epg showing with smarters.
I am not saying it’s that but does sound like it.
You could try open the xml EPG in notepad on your pc to see how many days the EPG shows and you will know for definite.
I imagine you have cleared cache on Tivimate and maybe removed the playlist and reloaded it.

Thank you. I was not aware of the differences between how Smarters and TiviMate acquired the EPG.
I downloaded the XML file and sure enough it is only providing information about 14 hours or so in the future. I contacted the IPTV provider and they said something about rebuilding their EPG server for better performance which could cause EPG issues. At least now I know there is nothing I can do about it outside of changing provider.
