I have had cooling fans since I started this hobby. Especially as in Mexico I was installing a ton of Firesticks for expats. A lot got hidden behind TVs mounted on the wall. So I am a fan fan. :laughing:

I just installed Aida 64 on the Shield Pro. No thermal sensors apparently for the Shield.

Oh I know where it is tx Sim_bill but the shield pro doesn’t have any thermal sensors to read unfortunately.

For you guys and gals using stock…just thought id mention that sdmaid still works pretty good with all the permissions given including accessibility. Just set it up on my h96max box with no issue, enabled scheduler and done :+1:

I put in an inquiry to Ugoos to see if there is any way they could do an update to upgrade the system to operate at 64 bit. AIDA 64 indicates it has that potential. Will let everyone know what response I get.

I’m starting to get a complex about this whole issue :confused: I feel like one of those guys back in the 70’s that would put the 455 emblems on their hood scoops and then when they would lift the hood, it would reveal the little 307 :person_facepalming:

It feels and is superfast compared to other 4g ram devices I have. For example, I have a custom Kodi build which is huge with alot of sections and widgets and a Wizard set to clean on every startup. My other boxes can take up to 2 minutes to fully load. On the SK1 it takes about 15 seconds. If I download a 25g 4k movie used to take 20 to 25 minutes. On the SK1 same movie would take about 5 minutes. I’m just confused about all the stuff I’m reading that even though it has 8g of ram installed, it’s only capable of using 4g. :person_shrugging:

Ok my take is 4gb is really more than enough ram to stream and 8 is overkill but nice to have as it “takes the load off” and will help with intensive apps and I would put kodi in that catagory. I worry that people with buffering issues will spend this much in hopes of a cure but imho its not the problem but it wont hurt except the pocket book :woozy_face:

If that box is like most ugoos boxes it will have a built in memory widget you can put on the screen to monitor ram usage. You will notice at times it will jump over 4…5…or higher…why? because it can.

I hate to sound fussy but everyone else was :sweat_smile: my first name starts with an “S” hence the PapaS.
