Nice, a very informative review. Hopefully, we won’t have to wait too long for Amlogic to provide a system update to enable 64 bit processing. Still, the SK 1 is an absolute beast on Kodi and other streaming apps. A few of us here at Troypoint thought the processor heat output was a bit high for our liking but a cooling fan does a nice job of bringing that down a bit.

I received a reply from James Liu at Ugoos. He said when Amlogic provides an update for the 64 bit upgrade, Ugoos will announce and provide an update.

Just curious if any of the UGOOS owners know this question. I am currently using 128g USB on my SK 1 for external storage and was wondering if this one would work just as well?

Its a good high quality “mini” flash drive. I use them on my nas to install different operating systems because its so small and one of the few that will work.

Is this SK1 readily available in the US? So far other than alie express, I can’t find anywhere to get it in Canada. I do see that the price if and when it comes to Canada, will be around $290 plus our insane taxs.

@Miki just did a Google search and lots of options. I don’t know the shipping laws for Canada but here is one for sale from what looks like an Asian supplier on Amazon

Dont pay for fast shipping and they will mark the customs form down to $30.
Might be worth a try. I bought my AM8 from there.
They are NOT authorised by Ugoos, despite their clever marketing, website and logo. This was confirmed by Eugene, owner snd dev of Ugoos.
Even their email fooled many of us. Looks very similar to Ugoos official email.
But, the delivery is very quick.
