Not me. I have little to no impulse control. If I got it, then it’s unpacked, plugged in, and I’m on it like a fly on

See menu images below. Now that I have solved the heat management issue and used this bad boy for a couple of days, I have to say this is without a doubt, the best streaming device I have ever owned.

Why I love ugoos…gives you a blank slate to do as you want. Root although not really needed is nice to have for…“just in case” situations. I know projectivy claims better operation on a rooted box.

There are a couple other darker live wallpapers you may want to look at on Google Playstore. These are shadow galaxy and vortex galaxy live wallpapers.

@Miki , your words inspired me, been on it a couple hours now. Agreeing with @sim_bill , so far super impressed. Very smooth and fast. The room I’m in has been terrible for wifi on just about everything except the Formuler Z11 pro max, I would get speeds of about 200 upload and download, on this UGOOS I’m getting excess of 550 upload and download
Apps are downloading like lightning. Now I need a break. It’s fight day and I have to relax and just enjoy watching those and I’ll continue tomorrow, but this is looking like love so far.

Just put mine in its permanent home. The remote paired itself with my LG Oled automatically and now turns the tv on and off with the SK 1!

I’m not going to have to drill holes. You must be in a warmer spot than me.
After running steady for about 8 hours it’s sticking around 36°, I do have a small fan on it.

Very glad that using the fan only did the trick for you. For some reason, the SK 1 processor heated up to 53 C when I was setting it up in my bench testing area, but it is operating at a steady 38 C inside my entertainment unit. I’m getting absolutely no buffering or delays whatsoever on any of my streaming apps.

I tell ya, the longer I run this thing the more impressed I’m becoming with it. It’s making me think twice about my Buzz X5. Like you said absolutely no freezing, no stuttering. Kodi performs like a beast on this thing compared to the X5. Ethernet and WiFi both around 600mb up and down with VPN on, the X5 is below 250 on WiFi or Ethernet and the WiFi was very unstable. More options than you can imagine, I love the reset options especially the "Reset app preferences " option, so handy. Tivimate, not a glitch, no freezing, no buffering, easy to set up external storage for recording. My only question is and I can live without it, how the heck does this voice search work? I press the little mic thing on the remote and say what’s the weather and I get a little message at the bottom of the screen with suggestions to ask it but it doesn’t seem to hear me.

Hopefully the price will come down. At almost $300 CDN it’s a bit out of my range.

Same feeling I got with the AM-8…the only box I could compare it to at the time was the shield and I still like it at that level. Ugoos boxes shine because they aint google certified

Update to my above post, I figured out the forgotten step to use the voice search
I totally forgot I had to open the Bluetooth settings and pair my remote to the box. What an awesome remote once paired.

I guess I’m still a bit old school but I just kept using the on screen keyboard on TiVimate to add all my favorites. It is terrific to have a product work this well. Just saw another Antutu benchmark test result for the SK 1 and the score was just over 306,000. That performance beats the Nvidia Shield by a mile.

Better deal to order it from the Mini PC store than Amazon as long as you can wait a bit longer to get it.

Yea, I agree. Re-sellers on amazon are marking up however amazon does make it easy to return.
