No, you just might want to get all your passwords for any apps that you use on that box so you can put them on the new one. Just set up the new one like you did the old one. Follow Troy’s video. You’ll have no problem

Yes I also hope this new Onn 4K Pro has the ability to adjust the screen size.

Order one online through Walmart, and it was delivered the same day. I couldn’t believe it. $52.87 total.

Hi Troy, I have the same remote that you have and it’s not back lit

Does it support TiviMate?

One thing I have noticed… and maybe it is just something I have done… I tried running Flauncher and ATV launcher. I could NOT get the STAR button to work once I was running either of those launchers. If I go back to the Google standard launcher, the star button works. But once I load Launch Manager, the Star is no longer functional.
I also had the Analiti issue. I did use the Speed Test app and it works fine.
Other than those two quirks, both of my devices seem to work well.
Yes. I installed TIVIMATE
Picked up ONN Pro yesterday 5/7 at Walmart. Setup ok.
The remote is the same as Troy’s in the Video. No Backlit and No free tv button.
I could not get the Xfinity Stream App to work. Any Ideas.
Thanks Troy for this latest first impression video of the Onn 4K Pro Google TV streaming device. I’m patiently waiting for the local Wal-Marts up here in the PNW to have stock in this. I look forward to the follow-up video for all its bells & whistles. I appreciate your insight & knowledge on all of this cord-cutting technology.

Thanks Troy, is there a blue tooth remote you could use that has the backlit feature that will work with Onn 4k pro instead of the original remote? thanks

I have an older 5.1 surround sound Yamaha receiver, when I set up my audio with this Onn box should I choose TV or stereo to get Surround Sound to work? Very complicated wiring system that I’m not sure how I got to work using a fire stick and a buzz box. Currently Yamaha and fire stick remotes volume buttons are the only thing that controls the receiver, thanks everyone!

That’s a great point. I know the fire tv devices have the calibrate option for each tv screen. So I’m hoping this is also possible w/ the Onn. Going to play w/ my Onn 4k to see if I find that option.

As always, thank you for doing these types of instructional videos. I can’t tell you how much it has helped me over the years.
One question. I’m assuming you can’t use this device without a Google account?

If you are not playing IPTV and side loading apps, it wouldn’t make a difference.

But I do sideload apps and watch IPTV.! LOL
Woke up at zero-dark-thirty this morning, went to the Walmart website, searched for the 4K PRO, lo and behold at my store there were 3 left. Not being greedy, I ordered one, picked it up a few minutes ago.
Mine DOES have the “FreeTV” button ;o)
