4K Firestick doesn't recognize USB

Hi, I have Firestick 4k. I installed a OTG adapter with Scandisk 3.0 to the Firestick for increase storage. Firestick doesn’t recognize the USB? Why is this?..

For some older 4k sticks this can happen if you have ADB debugging turned on. For the setup, try turning debugging off in developer options. Then try it.

Thanks. I bought the stick in Oct 2022. The ADB debugging is turned off.

And it’s an older 4K? Not a Max?
Perhaps take the USB Drive, plug it into a computer or chromebook etc. and format it to Fat32 and then plug it in and try it.
