Ha!..Miki we are so much alike in a lot of things. I too have six gmail accounts and have used DuckDuckGo for quite a while now.

I agree with you regarding Yahoo news.

I just remembered, the Portuguese consulate in San Francisco will not accept any att.net emails. Only Gmail, they said it was due to the security reasons? Anybody know why? Besides just a statement security issues, That’s why I recently opened up a new Gmail account. Other than that I close all my other accounts.

If you are using Windows you more than likely can access your AT&T email using a free email client like Thunderbird, which is made by Mozilla, the same company that makes Firefox. I use it. Have 13 different email addresses in there from various providers.

I understand what you’re saying because I’ve seen people using the Yahoo Mail app to access their AT&T mail. My neighbors did that. Have also seen them going to the Yahoo website and logging in that way. I don’t know what operating system we’re talking about, or even whether or not you’re talking about a mobile phone, but there are other ways to access the AT&T mail other than through Yahoo. Which was pretty much the standard way a while back.

(not for Android)

I use Free Proton mail for a few years and have set it up so that all my google emails go to that inbox as well. Not that it really matters much.

Yeah I use Android on tablet.

Did your tablet happen to come with Microsoft Outlook? You could use that for your email client.

I use the yahoo client to access my att, hotmail, and outlook email as well. I use gmail client for all my gmail email accounts. I have different email addresses for different purposes.

I’ve been doing that for years with Gmail. I run my Gmail through outlook as I don’t like the functionality of native Gmail

No, to be honest with you I don’t like Gmail and I don’t like any kind of third party connected to my emails just My style. I’m not that technology enough to keep myself out of trouble so I keep simple stuff.

Alright then. I don’t know how gmail ties into this, maybe it was just an off the cuff statement, but you don’t have to have gmail to use Outlook.

Yes I know, I’ve used Outlook in the past, years ago, I just kind of made a statement about my email address and it just kind of got away from me LOL. I like to keep my email address and just add Gmail to the end of it however I couldn’t do that without adding three or four numbers to it because everybody else has used it. I also have several folders and subfolders on my email account.
Now what was Troy saying about search engines? LOL

I just understood that you wanted to access your AT&T email without having to go through Yahoo to do so. Outlook would let you do that. If you define third party as simply an email client then you’re pretty much already doing that by using a Yahoo app to access an AT&T email. I’ll shut up now since it’s off topic as you pointed out, lol. Have a good weekend!

I purchased the 2007 microsoft suite for my Windows desktop. Lol, I know its really old. Will need to purchase something new soon. No more updates after 2025 on my HP desktop due to age.

@Mslea a few years ago I was able to get the whole Microsoft Office suite including outlook for $29.99 from Stack Social. I am signed up for their daily email and every so often they run specials like this. Totally legit license. No idea how they can sell this low but I’ve had it on my travel PC for a few years now and no problem. I get all the MS updates and such

I’ll check it out once I purchase my next desktop. I’m undecided on a desktop or laptop.
