Thats my only saving grace. My 1080 tv will definitely get 1 to try out as a back up but it has to exceed my onn 4k (non pro) capabilities. The other one may be a gag gift at Christmas. Lol

Oddly enough my onn 4k three rooms away is getting better vpn wifi speeds than my onn 4k pro 20 feet from the router. I can get into the 90Mbps on the reg and about 70 Mbps on the pro on the exact same ipvanish server. I max out at 120 Mps on my Nvidia shield next to the onn 4k reg.

An option for this or any android box is you could turn it into a ā€œkindaā€ nas device. If storage issues are of concern, you could with a little DYI setup make the box your local network connected device, attach storage to itā€¦something like a usb or better and with a little samba magic just direct any box in your house to store recordings on it as well as play off of it.

Aint heard of brand, the s905w2 is a low end amlogic chipset but will be better than an allwinner.

Older android version not an issue for me. Most of these stock boxes cannot update. My older T95Zā€™s running android 7 but for what I wanted to do I never saw any differences in how the boxes operate vs my newer ONN boxes with android 12 or 13

No problems at all with KODI or anything else. Iā€™m not sure what I miss from having a newer Android version as there is no noticeable difference between what I see from mu ONN Pro that is a newer version of Android.

I just pulled up my order from 2018. The chipset is Amlogic S912 Octa Core

I see, maybe that octacore makes it better, now Iā€™m wondering which ones got the octa cores. Iā€™ll try wikipedia might be able to see. Well I did just see that the onn pro is only a quad core.

I have my 4K Maxx with a 128 GB flash drive on it and Iā€™ve never filled it up yet not even half I donā€™t think. But I donā€™t record to store I record, watch and then delete. I did however lock up my never Shield with the 16 internal storage. One night and one morningā€™s recordings of news and other shows locked it up so tight, if I remember right I had to delete a lot of apps and I believe I had to delete tivimate to get it up and running again. Luckily I had a backup.

I have a 256 GB Samsung Evo attached to my Shield Pro. Split into external and internal storage. I never record much. Just experimentation. But ya the 12GBs on the Shield itself isnā€™t really enough. I am looking forward to eliminating or at least reducing, the negative impact of Droid 15 restrictions and have all the Internal storage space I could need for apps, and install and access them with ease.,

I have the hdmi cable and power cord included. I thought you need a audio video rca red, white, yellow thst plug into your tv then the end plugs into your streaming box.

Dont you have those cables for the box to work correctly?
My previous box i had those cables. I know ever box is different. They didnā€™t come with this box and my previous box so i was thinking i needed for the box to work. I also needed for this tx10 box as well.

Does your tv have an hdmi port available?

Do you play your audio through the tv? Meaning you do not use a sound bar or other audio device seperate from the tv.

If yes to both then you just need to plug your hdmi cable into your device and the tv and it should provide both your audio and video.

If your tv/audio setup is different then explain what it is so people can try to help.
