I currently use Firefox. Of Course, it uses Google. I also have Surfshark. Are my Firefox searches secure and private?

Nothing on the internet is safe and secure. Surfshark and other vpns block your actual ip and replace it with theirs. However Firefox is not secure and offers up a fingerprint and also if you are signed in to google then your activities are kept. Without digging too deep…the short answer is no.

Which browsers are the most private?

There are ways to secure firefox with many tweaks and other settings and depending on your operating system some pre-built versions. I’m on linux and use Librewolf which is a “more” secure version of firefox. You will need to search for windows versions of secure browsers or maybe some others can chime in with suggestions. IPV6 is a security issue as well but most vpns will disable that by default.

I use Vivaldi browser with the following extensions, uBlock Origin and Canvas Fingerprint Defender, In addition, I use various VPNs.

I can’t say for certain but DuckDuckGo allows you to delete your searches. I personally use it.

Troy recently posted about browsers.
