So to document what can work as a DVR with minimal hardware online. Have found only three solutions. Am talking ONLY LOCAL USB on a TV box or stick. DO NOT want to set up an external router with a USB for SMB NAS storage (do not want that).
1). FIRE STICK or CUBE with TIVIMATE. So buying the device with USB attached and the software lifetime is around $100.
2). Most Android boxes with local USB attached with SPARKLE player lifetime again around $100.
3). FORMULER Z11 with built in MOL3 software and a local USB storage attached. Maybe $120 if lucky.
Anything else requires a network located storage location running SMB 2.x storage protocol. Setting up the NAS can take a lot of effort to get it working right. Any other solutions for around $100 for a DVR for IPTV ?
