Z11 Pro BT £129 v Z11 Pro Max BT £149 v Z12 Ultra £169 - UK prices

My take, Z11 pro for those who are on a budget and only use IPTV
Z11 pro Max - power users - worth the extra for Ram and storage for apps / smooth running as many will have multiple apps ruuning at the same time.

Z12 Ultra - Android 12, new remote, Dolby Vision / audio, more internal storage for better local timeshift and recording - if you are going make use of these worth the extra cash.

I will see it when my friend gets his - it will be his second Formuler box and a live sports fan who will love local timeshift, recently upgraded to new oled tv.

That was Troy’s experience with his original review.
I think his follow up after a major update got more people want to get Z11 pro after seeing it in action.

Have not played with these settings but will see on Z12 when I set up friends box.

I must disagree with you on one point. The premium paid TiVimate you can load as many playlists as you want, the free you can’t. All playlists display in a left side pop-out. Fully configurable, able to add channels from every playlist into your own groups you can create and on and on. I presently have Five playlists and recently removed 3 other free ones and will trim that down to four shortly as I no longer need them. Have a wonderful weekend.

Better than the shield?

Please let me clarify what I am talking about on TiviMate navigation of playlists. I have premium, & yes I am aware you can load all the playlists you wish to. The problem is you have to manually scroll through the entire list to get to the playlist you want, then of course get to the category. In MOL3 you can go left one more time & highlight the playlist you want & it puts you at the beginning of that list automatically. TiviMate does NOT have the playlists each listed along the left side of the categories list where MOL3 does. This is a huge improvement to me to be able to go straight to the playlist you wish to without going through the entire lists of all of them. TiviMate sucks in comparison being forced to go through the entire list of all the playlists you have active within it. As a result I always never put more than 2 active within it which to me is a pain. When you go left one more time in TiviMate you get the selection of tv/vod/settings & all of those things, but no way to get directly to the one playlist you wish to get to as you have to scroll the entire thing. If for example you have 4 playlists loaded up especially with the huge amount of categories to get to playlist 4 or the last playlist you have to lean on the button & wait forever to get to that playlist. NOT so in MOL3. Those of us who have MOL3 know exactly what I am talking about & it’s WAY better! The hamburger menu bar pulls up from the left side the live/vod/tv series/radio/game day/recordings/schedule content manager/notifications/settings if & when desired. Another huge plus is one of my services has over 1600 radio stations on it which I can’t even access in TiviMate, but works well on MOL3. Although I know they are there to access, TiviMate has no way to get to it. Many of you that have both MOL3 & TiviMate apps already have known this if you indeed have any services that have radio on them. If there isn’t any radio available on any service it has monkeys with eyes covered indicating so. Just more reasons why I love MOL3 far better than TiviMate. MOL3 does use VLC for video which I do like a little more than Exoplayer used in TiviMate, but it’s not really much of a deal breaker for most people. I do prefer VLC. There are some minimal advantages for TiviMate premium such as setting the resolution to show numbers instead of HD/FHD ect… but nothing anybody cares much about.

Assuming there was a mol4 couldn’t you just side load it to the z11 and older models?

Again, no you don’t. My lists are there but I rarely ever open any of them. If you want to add any channel to any group you simple seach for the channel, select any one that comes up that you want. If the channel is in multiple lists all are displayed. Then I choose the ones with the best stats like 1080 or 4K and the highest FPS like 60. I have my own groups created Like New/Sports/Faves. None of those groups have any more than say 40 channels in them. If a playlist comtains radio stations then they certainly do play in Tivimate and again you can create your own group, call it Radio and put whatever channels in it you want. I can use VLC in Tivimate as well it’s under the playback settings. Ok I don’t want to hijack this thred and you are full on MOL which is fine of course. Tivimate does take a bitto learn as there are a ton of settings fto access for personal config. Gotta jet. Jave a buffer free day.

I haven’t tried to do this, but from what I am told/learned you can’t load MOL3 on to older Z10 or older units with MOL2. Another thing Formuler does to ensure sales of newer devices. Hypothetically if it did have MOL4 I am sure they would do the same thing not allowing it to install on Z11 devices, only to the Z12 Ultra. I believe it’s all about sales security to them. Actually I am surprised they didn’t do it on the Z12 Ultra. It would have encouraged more sales of them for people to get the newer app.

Well I know you can get modded versions on non formuler boxes, so surely you could do the same with formuler. Would be interested to see.

All your saying tells me yes, it may be done, but with a lot of work by the consumer. I don’t have to create any groups or do a bunch of extra things to get it to work on MOL3 because it’s setup is better. Everyone has their preferences & that’s fine.

I might try that if I could find the modded app, but check it well first for bugs. I know I tried to install it on a Kinhank G1 box & it won’t install (original version).

There is a big difference between can’t be done and don’t know how. I love configuring to my need not a preset by an app. It’s easy when you know how. Have a great weekend. Gotta catch the bus. Bye.

What makes it better than the T 95Z?

Just curious…

There aren’t very many in MOL3. Only 9 total & about half of them are grey type colors so selection is limited. only a couple of them have a light enough background where the Icons show up the best.

So not to ask a dumb question but what is the difference between using Formuler Z11 or 12 vs an Nvidia Shield Pro. Is there much of a difference?

Amazon has it for 229.99

welcome

Both are quality devices.

Formuler Z11 /12 are based on modified mobile Android as it’s operating system / Nvida Shield is based on Android / Google TV operating system.

Google TV os is more like Firestick / Onn box - pushes Ads and services on home screen.
Shield made with Nvida chips are powerful enough to play games as well as for streaming / upscaling video quality. For IPTV, you have to install an app.

Formuler Z11 / Z12 are based around MYTVOnline IPTV app - the TV version of this app is only available on this branded streaming devices (mobile version of this app can be downloaded from playstore / apple app store ).

Formuler Z12 is the latest device - It’s os is updated to Android 12 ( Z11 is Android 11), has Dolby vision / atmos, more internal memory and a new remote. - Both have the latest version MYTVOnline 3 app.

Buying - if you need Netflix get shield because Netflix allows it’s official app to install on this device.

If getting for IPTV and you want a device close to a cable / tv box - get a Formuler device. MYTVOnline is really good to set up to your liking - see Troy’s review of the major update on Formuler Z11 I linked in an earlier post

Don’t buy a Formuler TV Box; look what happened to me.
I recognized the Formuler Z11 Pro Max BT1 Edition from videos I watched on YouTube.
I sold my Nvidia Shield 4K TV Box for a good price and bought the Formuler Z11.
I’ve been using it for two months now and I’m disappointed and regret it. I’m writing this as a warning to anyone considering this device.

1- Accessibility services are faulty. The connection is constantly dropping. When you turn off the device, the Accessibility service closes. You have to manually configure and enable Accessibility services every time you turn on the device. This is simply scandalous.
2- You can’t use tvQuickActions and Projectivy Launcher stably on this device, or at all.
3- The Google Play Store is very limited and problematic. It has its own marketplace, but it’s very limited.
4- The Nass Clent feature doesn’t work.
5- The device is very slow. Even the Mi Box 2nd Generation device runs much faster than this one, and it’s sold for 1/4 the price.
6- It doesn’t allow or support 3rd-party launchers.
Even if you partially succeed in installing a 3rd-party launcher using Launcher Manager programs, you’ll find that some of the remote’s buttons don’t work. You can’t even open Myonline3 from the remote. Another piece of nonsense.
7- The Media Browser app is ridiculous and inadequate. Don’t use it; it’s more like a decorative element.
8- After adding 3-4 M3U links to Mytvonline3, Mytvonline3’s opening becomes very slow.
9- It requires an audio codec for some movies, which you have to download and install from the official store.
This is another ridiculous feature.
10- VOD audio doesn’t work with some Formuler movies. You have to activate the TV Remote sound feature and use the TV remote.
11- There are no customization options. You’re stuck with everything Formuler gives you. 12- The menu button doesn’t work when watching a VOD movie. You have to press the BACK button to go to the VOD screen.

Then the menu button works. This is ridiculous.
13- You can’t exit the TV screen with the back button. You have to go to the Menu and exit.

This is ridiculous.
14- You can’t set a sleep timer on the VOD screen (People already set a sleep timer and go to bed while watching a movie. This is ridiculous).

I have written about these problems to Formuler manufacturer sites and the Formular official forum site many times, but no one is interested and they do not respond.
