If you want to use Trakt on Stremio, you’ll first need a Trakt account. Start by creating an account on the Trakt website. Launch Stremio and click on the ellipsis at the top right. Select “settings” and then click on the “authenticate” button under “Trakt scrobbling.” Trakt Tv - Stremio Addons

And then you could also install this useful add on if you think it would be helpful.

And set up those you want to get notified about.

You can’t honestly tell me if that is worth doing?

Sorry ya lost me. If what is worth doing?

I have tried to find the 2.4 version of cinema to see if it would better but apparently cinema has been removed from the Troypoint app rapid installer and the downloaded code for cinema is for 2.5, which appears to have ads or something. I was looking at using streamio as you suggested and found this on the TP website “ IMPORTANT NOTE: Because Torrentio provides torrent links, those who do not use real-debrid must use a VPN in conjunction with this service.”. Given that my IPVanish is not staying connected like it should, but I do use RD, I am kind of hesitant. However, the way that reads, if using RD, the VPN is not critical. Input welcomed😊

If you use RD+Torrentio links, you do not need a vpn to be active. If you Google this subject, there are numerous articles confirming this.

My vpn is on permanently. So one could say, it is not necessary. But it suits my personal wish for doubling up my security.

Just like Dak said. If you use RD+Torrentio links, you do not need a vpn to be active. When I’m watching stremio , I do not have my VPN on. Just make sure you click on RD+ torrentio links. Good luck setting up. There is lots of information on Troy point how to do this.

This might help with your VPN disconnection

https://support.ipvanish.com/hc/en-us/articles/360004232874-Why-does-the-VPN-suddenly-disconnect-#:~:text=If%20you%20are%20being%20disconnected,server%20closest%20to%20your%20location.&text=If%20changing%20servers%20doesn’t,fix%20the%20VPN%20disconnection%20issue.

Thanks for confirming that! I was under the impression that it was critical to have a vpn on whenever using any free or “side loaded” streaming on the firestick. I get over 200mbps internet and it seems the firestick runs slow to begin with but IPVanish knocks that even further back. So if I can run without it and be safe, that would be okay with me. Although, I do think I might like a second layer of protection. Any idea where I can download the 2.4 version of Cinema? I do google some of this stuff but then don’t really know which sites are trustworthy so I generally only use Troypoint information and loading. To be honest, I am that person that just got a new tv bc my old one died and I have no idea what all it does, I only plugged in the firestick and set up the over the air tv channels bc that is all I know and am used to😂.

Thank you. I have been communicating with their support and nothing has helped consistently. When I change something, it may stay connected for hours but then the next day, it is back to minutes.

Had the same problem with not getting the RD links in Cinema. Went to my account in RD and my subscription was expired. Renewed payment and it worked. not saying your situation is the same. But wouldn’t hurt to check.

Forgive me, I am a little confused bc the article you provided contradicts not using a vpn. Did I miss something?

@Pawsrancher . If that question was directed at me, then no, you didn’t miss anything.

If you use an RD Link, it explains why you do not really need a vpn, because of the safety of RD servers and your ISP not knowing what you are streaming.

But other info of what you do is kept by RD. That is why I use an encrypted anonymous email address to sign up for their services.

But in my country, the authorities are not really interested in what I stream and where from.

It is your choice.

This is from the article and clearly states that you should use a VPN so that is where the confusion comes in when you say I don’t need to use it.
Is a VPN Necessary for Real Debrid?

Have you ever searched for your favorite TV show or movie, only to find it missing on your preferred streaming platform? Well, it happens every day for reasons such as licensing and out of the region. That’s where Real Debrid comes in. The platform allows you to stream any content from a touch of your computer button.

Although it might sound awesome, streaming pirated content has its dangers. That’s why you need a strong and reliable VPN to help you avoid these loopholes. A VPN acts as a shield, keeping you secure when browsing the internet.”

Ok… I have provided you with information. It is entirely your choice.

There is a plethora of articles online on this subject explaining why you dont need a vpn whilst streaming from RD.

Do your research and make a decision.

As i said previously i always have my vpn on.

Have a look at this. It was on Troypoint and could have been found in " search" box.

Everyone has different views:

I have removed that link i sent you. It was confusing and i added the wrong link.
My apologies

You certainly don’t need a VPN with RD. I’ve been using RD for at least 5 years and do not use a VPN.

Thank you! I have had nothing but problems and now even Kodi with The Crew will play for about 20 minutes and stop. Amazon has added so much crap that can’t be uninstalled that there is less than .8 of a gig left and all that I have added is Troypoint app, Kodi with 1 add on, downloaded, es file and IPVanish. So I am in the process of loading a 4K and am hoping that it will work better.
