Device 1. BuzzTV 6 Ultimate? Device 2. Nvidia Shield Pro. I was watching You Tube directly from the tv itself and finally turned it off. Later I turned on the tv and Buzz. I clicked on Kodi and got nowhere. I noticed the VPN light flashing in Red. I went to Surfshark and it said connecting but getting nowhere. I cancelled it and tried Proton. It just flashed “not connected” and immediately turned off. I uninstalled Surfshark went to Downloader - favorites- Troypoint etc and downloaded Surfshark. When it tried to install it had an error. (did this many times). I went to the Google Play store and tried downloading Surfshark from there. Many times it tried but never actually downloaded. I uninstalled Proton and tried loading it from the Playstore. Same result. I thought maybe my flashing warning sign had something to do with it so I uninstalled it as well. Now once on the main Buzz screen I could click on any app but none would work. I went to the Nvidia and got a black screen. I unplugged it and plugged it back in. I got the Nvidia logo on the screen but once it did the load I was back to the black screen.
I did check another TV and it is working fine. I suspect the tv but isn’t it basically just working as a monitor at this point just showing what is being sent to it? It could mess up the screens but it shouldn’t be able to mess up the downloads etc.
Anyway. I am at a complete loss at what else I should try. Hoping one of you technical geniuses can point me in the right direction.
THANK YOU!!!

Sounds like your devices didn’t have an internet connection.
Did you try powering cycling your equipment including your router and leaving it off for a couple of minutes.

Well I’ve got Buzz back up and running. I did need to reset the internet after resetting. The reason I couldn’t get any of the downloads to work took a little time to figure out. Storage… yes with my Buzz Ultimate and its 256GB?? believe it or not it had maxed out so no downloads would work. Someone in my family (I’m 74 and only live with my wife) discovered recording shows on Tivimate however didn’t discover you have to erase them as well. So two months of the news and a late night show filled her right up. After going in and deleting them this morning the downloads worked and I now have a VPN up and running. I still have a black screen with the Nvidia. I’ll try resetting it again.

Sooooo try resetting your Shield 2019 Pro model with a black screen. You definitely will need directions to get it done. I did lose everthing that was on there including the data from my USB drive. It is on the screen so that mission was accomplished. Still need to dig in deep to set it up again. Thanks for listening.
