I’m looking for recommendations on the best free IPTV player app for Firestick or other Android streaming devices. While testing different apps, I’ve encountered a few issues and have some questions:

  1. IPTV Smarters Pro v. 4.0 Downloader Code

    • The Troypoint toolbox only provides a link to IPTV Smarters Pro v. 3.1.5.1, not v. 4.0.
    • Version 3.1.5.1 seems to be missing a codec or something, as it won’t play certain content (e.g., Scamanda S1E3 and S1E4), while Tivimate, Sparkle, and Smarters v. 4.0 can.
    • The last working Downloader code I had for v. 4.0 was 815502, but it no longer works.
    • The direct URL (https://www.iptvsmarters.com/smarters4-0.apk) doesn’t seem to function correctly—it gets stuck after the human verification step.
    • Does anyone have a current Downloader code for v. 4.0?

  2. XCIPTV Downloader Code & App Performance

    • XCIPTV seems to update faster than either version of Smarters.
    • Does anyone have a current Downloader code for XCIPTV?(I realize the TP toolbox has the link, but I am looking for the downloader code as well)
    • Also, how can I find Downloader codes for these apps on my own?

  3. Sparkle App Limitations

    • I like Sparkle overall, but the free version only allows live TV—no VOD access.

Any recommendations or insights would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks Miki, but the 78522 code that is listed was for v. 3.1.5.1 and it no longer works. I have tried the https://iptvsmarterpro.app/smarters.apk link listed on the Smarters website and it will download a file, but always gets the error “there was a problem parsing the package” when trying to install.

Usually the parser code can be the result of a failed install and/or a damaged apk. So make sure you do not have any smarters APK on your device.

I just used that short code to download an install smarters pro. No problem at all. Worked perfectly.

Interesting. I will try it again, but I have not been able to get the 78522 to work on at least 4 different firesticks in the last few weeks. I am looking for a v. 4.0 downloader code as it is the latest version. Wonder why Troy still points to the v3.1.5.1?

Hmmm. I honestly don’t know unless Smarters has a specific release for the Fire OS devices. Looks like 3.1.5.1 is the correct one. I don’t use or like Smarters pro. I believe there are two releases one for Mobile.I will do some hunting.

It looks like my issue with 78522 v3.1.5.1 and 815502 v. 4.0 has been with Downloader all along. These codes haven’t been working in Downloader for a few weeks–they got stuck on the human verification part. I just updated Downloader to version 1.5.2 and they both work now! This from AFTV News v1.5.2

Nice going. I am sorry but I just figured everyone is using the latest Downloader version. I should know better. You didn’t mention the Human Verification part, and I don’t ever see that. But all that matters is you solved it and now others with a similar problem know where to look. :clap:

Thanks for the links to v 4.0.3 and 4.0.5 but I have a really dumb question? How do I get these installed on my firesticks with a downloader code or a url to type in to Downloader?

You just click the links, which are the blue highlighted txt, and that will open the app your device uses for APK install. In this case the link will take you to the en.uptodown.com site where you can search for whatever app you want. I included the link in the url to go directly to the apk for smarters. Now once you do a search and find the app you want you scroll down to the “download” link and click it. The download will begin and once finished give you the install option.
