I’ve downloaded this app from their website and the settings section is sparse. It only has the ability to set a parental PIN, set 12 or 24 hours time, or set stream format to HLS or MPEGTS. Most everything seems to work great, but when I look at the EPG it is always 4 hours ahead of correct time.

For example, I will be watching a channel that is local (same time zone) and a show will come on at 7:30PM. But the EPG shows that show coming on at 11:30PM and the EPG preview clearly thinks it is currently 11:30PM. I’m logged into a VPN server that is in my time zone and my computer has the correct (7:30PM) time. Is there any way to adjust the time in the IPTV Smarters Pro EPG? It appears to just be listing UTC time (I’'m UTC-4:00)

I could be wrong, but on the main screen of Smarters if you click Settings, then EPG, then in that screen on the left there are 2 settings, one is time shift (or something like that), try that… i’m not at my tv so this is from memory…

I have read elsewhere that there are more options in “settings” than I am seeing. I am downloading from what I think is the official site (iptvsmarters) and all I get are the screens shown below. I found another one with the same name on the Microsoft store. I installed it and it looked a bit different and had many options but it mentioned something about a trial and I knew IPTV Smarters Pro is free.
But these are the only screens I have:

First screen before a playlist is added:

Main screen after adding a playlist:

The settings screen:

I can’t find any options for the EPG. The time format only gives the option of selecting 12 or 24 hour format. This is version 1.1.2. Is there a newer version out there?

Mine looks much different…do you have Downloader installed? If so, do you have Troy’s Toolbox as a favorite in Downloader…

I just re-read your first post…so your on a computer using Smarters? If so, I’m not sure if Downloader is available for a PC …

Hopefully someone else can chime in and help…

Yes this is on Windows. The Downloader only has apks for android. I have considered running an emulator like Bluestacks

The Troypoint review of IPTV Smarters mentions the Windows version and downloading from the official website, but I never could find the link to the official Smarters website. I found several on Reddit claiming iptvsmarters com is the correct page. The website mentions a premium version, but you have to add it to a cart and check out to get it even though the price is $0.00. Seems a bit odd.

Iboplayer is available on windows and is available for most other platforms as well.

Sometimes features are different on PC’s compared to Android/compared to Amazon/compared to apple devices…so you may well have all the options available to you on the PC version… sorry I couldn’t be of more help…have you tried to change the 12 / 24 time option–just for the heck of it …

Also you say… It appears to just be listing UTC time (I’'m UTC-4:00) …any changes you can make to that, looks like that -4:00 is the problem

Yes, it was 24 by default and I changed it to 12 and it made no difference besides of course changing to 12 hour format.

The odd thing is the app shows the correct time. If it is 7:00pm where I live, then it will show 6:55pm in the app. But if I click on a channel, it comes up in a small window with a 4-5 hour section of the EPG below it. And it will show (for example) the next program (maybe titled “Local News at 7” but show it as 11:00PM.

I think it is a simple fix, but there are just no options in the Windows version to set the time zone. Strange. I guess I could adjust the time zone of the computer it runs on to see if that would change things. But I’m not sure it would since the app reports the correct time.
