Formuler Z11 pro are built for iptv and have their own dedicated iptv app only available on their devices.
myTVonline 3 is the app and it is a great app.
I have not owned one but I know plenty who use them and they are very pleased with the device.
I have tested a modded version of the app from a supplier and I was impressed with it.

I really like the TVM app. I would like to stick with that.
As far as "Certified box(s) I’m not sure what you mean.
I tried the X 5 box.
I DID NOT like the remote at all!

You can still run Tivimate on the Z11 pro because it runs on android.

Do you need netflix, disney+ and prime video etc. As they will only work properly on proper android certified boxes.
What device are you upgrading from?
If in usa best bang for buck box is the onn 4k pro.
That is google certified.
I have the nvidia shield pro 2019, but is a bit overkill if ya just want it for streaming.
What audio formats do you need?

I see you had the x5, so thats not a google certified device. If ya happy with boxes like that there is loads to choose from.
Ugoos have some decent boxes with good specs.

I guess I’m spoiled with TVM.
I’m very familiar with TVM operation, and,even more important, my WIFE knows how to use it!!!
I’m liking the look of the “Z11” especially the remote, you know who likes a easy to use remote!!!
Is there anyone using a Z11 now? Is the recording process/setup fairly straight forward?

And here we are less than 2 weeks later and yet another update disaster - 3rd party app icons (BeeTV, FilmPlus, etc) now just a grey square with a line though them. Seems the FireTV devices may be going the way of the Recast to make way for Amazon’s new devices?

i have 2 of both the Onn devices that i’ve never opened…i use both a T95Z box and a X96max that are both on android 9 with a 1TB hardrive connected to both for recording…they work fantastic and play 4K video flawlessly…every now and then i disconnect the HD’s and download the stuff i want to keep to my comp…i also own a shield,X88pro,buzztv 5,buzztv 4900.H96max…etc…way too many…lol
i’m kind of a collector and play with my collection in the man cave downstairs
i understand people wanting the newest whatever? i’m one!..i gave my firesticks away yrs ago…the older devices are used everyday and record fantastic…amazon wants to control what you watch? F that!!

I’ve moved all my fire devices to guest bedroom TV’s, the garages, and a kitchen TV. The home theater spots each have 1 Shield Pro, 1 H96Max V58, and and 1 lower cost Android box. I am currently resisting on buying more boxes, but i don’t know how long that will last.

Fire stick is terrible, you would think that when you purchase it, it would be yours to do with as you please, without Amazon interfering… its very intrusive, with all the adverts and updates. Plus they are/have developed their own OS. Its all the fat cats being greedy and pray on the average person, to line their pockets… Amazon=mafia

You can still change the Fire boxes a little with a custom launcher to cut down the adverts, but they have gotten rid of adb and other things so more and more locked down.

My last two boxes were rooted and if I give in to the bug, it will only be a rooted box (maybe Ugoos?).

They didn’t get rid of ADB, you just can’t access it locally (on the device) you can do it remotely from a phone or laptop or anything else you can install a ADB interface. I use ATVtools to send ADB commands to Firesticks, for example adding encrypted DNS IP addresses.

I read this yesterday and went and looked as I was pretty sure I had Flixvision. I did have it on my 4k Pro but removed it, virus total had 5 hits, it could be false positives but as a precaution I removed.

Yesterday I loaded it again, works, got it from the “official” website, it worked, still had my history file, I removed it again. Then couldn’t remember what topic I saw this under😊.
