lost internet connection, tried looking under SETTINGS, changed anything pertaining to internet connections, didn’t work, Internet worked before, just moved Shield about 3" and it stopped working, changed internet cable with 3 different ones, says on top tv screen “no internet connection” with looks like cloud with line through it. Thanks

I assume ethernet connection on back of Shield must be defective, ordered Shield Pro comes Friday let you know if that one connects, computer and i pad connect,

Sounds like a bad cable connection, or you changed the connection type on your device by accident.

changed cable 3 different ones, what connection type are you talking about?

Had the same issue with a new shield, said it was connected in settings, even had ip address but wouldn’t connect thru ethernet or wifi. Had to do factory reset to get it to work. Sucks re-installing everything.

thanks, have to try factory reset

I should have mentioned this happened to mine before the 9.0.0 upgrade.

did factory reset, worked THANK YOU

How old is the device? You may just have a device that died?

I researched this topic on this site and found several hits from 2022 and 2023. However, I did not see a solution. I’ve had my Nvidia for about 2 years. Yesterday, it stopped receiving internet. I had been connected via hard wire so I switched to wifi. I cannot receive internet using either mode (which makes the box useless). I looked for a “reset” button on the box but found none. Does anybody have a suggestion? Otherwise I have a door stop. btw, I’ve got several ONN boxes including the 4k pro…in general I prefer the ONN over the Nvidia–however, I like the high download speeds on the Nvidia…if I get a solution, has anybody found a replacement remote for the Nvidia? not the triangle one?

I would try the full power cycle on your devices before jumping into the factory reset. In0lug absolutely everything. TV. Modem/router. Audio system if you have one and the Shield. Wait for a few minutes and plug it all back in. Restart as normal and then try and let us know how you made out.

You say you seen no solutions posted, read post 9 & results in post 12. Sounds like a solution to me.

which ones are 9 and 12, they are not numbered…how about using the user name and date

It’s actually quite easy once you learn some ways of negotiating the site. Down the bottom right corner of any thread is a box with 2 numbers and a wrench icon to the left of it. If you click on the numbers a pop out will open and on the right side of that pop out is a slider, press and hold down on that slider and slide it up or down until the number of the specific post you want will be displayed and in the window you can read the post.
