Timwort, it’s their lottery number.
There was a lottery for draft eligible male US citizens during the Vietnam War,
Men currently in their 70’s (me) had their birtjdays pulled out of a hopper (later two hoppers separating the month and day) to determine the order in which men would be drafted into the (usually) army.
My classmate had a very low number, meaning he was almost certainly going to be drafted. That’s why he was concerned about his fate.

Sure, I wasn’t thinking about having had mentioned the lottery when I read your entry, I’m old. 
I had a buddy that was in the first ten, he ended up joining the Navy on the a 120 day plan, he sent them a letter of resignation around the 120th day 
, it was called the “Shore Patrol” then, came and hauled him off to The Greats Lakes Navel Training Center".

I’m a little younger but my uncle had a medium/high draft number and so joined the National Guard as a cook.
As for series and movies to watch. I’ve found myself in the last couple of years addicted to sports. There is always something local on in the evening. So I turn that on and do some reading on the Kindle at the same time. But I will admit that I was hooked on Longmire in the first five minutes and binge watched that series.

They (Apple Plus) were running a 90 day try before you buy on my friends Roku, which means they probably have other try before you buy.

Hi Big Dave – did you use a Kodi add-on to watch A Complete Unknown?
I’ve been trying since December and haven’t any luck. On Seren/Premiumize no sources come up at all. On Umbrella/Real-Debrid I get 42 sources but none of them work.
