I have an Apple TV 4K I bought and haven’t used it since I started playing with Android boxes. Just sitting in its box. Used it twice. Oh well. Lol

I know what you mean. I do factory resets on my devices and re-customize them out of boredom
Apple is boring what can I say ?
They make good computers and phones and they have a solid OS but I just hate them because they’re very limited. . What do I hate more than apple? Windows …or shall I say broken windows. I haven’t used a computer with windows in close to 10 years. Crappy OS . My phone and streaming devices are all android and my laptop is a Chromebook . IMO Android has the best of both worlds …a solid OS with the versatility

We use all Apple except for TV. Gonna look for someone locally who may want to trade for a KM2 or something similar. Maybe they don’t like Android TV or tried and found it too involved. Never know

Maybe sell it locally on an app. So you have the "OfferUp " app?people in your town will see the listing . Take pictures of it, upload it and sell it locally . Meet the person half way and make the sale . That’s how I sell a lot of tv boxes . Good Luck

This ONN box is awesome and works fantastic. I have mine set up for extending the memory and will be doing that today. Only minor issues like the colour space, but again for a mere $20 it’s great. The drawbacks for the most part have nothing to do with the device and everything to do with the OS. For any basic user you can’t go wrong with the ONN.
Have fun and STREAM ONN. lol.

Ok so here is another finding. I was concerned after shutting the power off everything, as I do every night, that the ONN might have issues starting. It didn’t I turned everything on and hit the home button on the remote and voila it turned on to the home screen. That’s perfect. Added memory later today. After that I’ll be done with the ONN and reinstall my KM2. Stream ONN.

If you followed TP’s tutorial, he says to install Sideload Launcher at the start.
All the apps which aren’t visible show up with using that.

Tx elginhead appreciate the heads up. I only did it my way to test the entire system and see how and why it worked the way it did, and note any shortcomings. I can find all the apps I installed including the Silk browser, although it doesn’t work, but was curious as to why it would get installed in “system” apps and not my “installed” apps. The launcher does the same thing on the FireTV OS.
Miki,
FWIW, I use both an ONN and a FS 4k about an equal amount. I tried the Wolf Launcher on the 4k and, for whatever reason, I managed to get the stick in a mode where there was no launcher at all. So after resetting the stick, no more third party launchers for me. Which leads to the next sentence…
I don’t feel the need for a third party launcher with the ONN. The stock launcher doesn’t change it’s opening screen based upon recently used. That recently used deal is very annoying with Firesticks.

Puffin costs $ I think.
Give JioPages a try from Google Play store.
You can save your fav’s on the home screen.
To go direct to “some” sites (ie soap2day.ac) you may have to include www. or else it does a search.
It is an “Indian” browser but is all in English.
Has built in AdBlock.

Ya I don’t use any 3rd party launchers anymore really. You can now use Wolf on the Max if you so desired. Directions are on the site. The ONN is OK but the Android TV OS is no where near as good as the FireTV OS on the Max. That’s my opinion only based on the 2 devices I tried the Android TV on the KM2 and now ONN.

Again Jio will not stream from most of the free sports sites. But that’s really not important anymore as I’ve rendered that useless by having a paid IPTV service. So I’ll forego any browser for now on the ONN. It’s a nice device for the price of an 18 pack of beer here.

lol. Always Pete. I’d be broke if I was in the US. This hobby is getting way to many device options now.
TV Bro is not good either, don’t waste your time.

LOL, glad you finally got one Güey, way down south, way down to Mexico way. (I hope Güey is “mate”!).
Is the 18 pack Dos Equis? Or is that the american/mexican beer !
I also had trouble getting Jio/Onn to stream the sports sites, but I have trouble on the Firestick 4K also !!
Too many popups and nags for vpns (I don’t have a vpn).
I Don’t really need the sports sites.
I use Jio for movies using some of the “sites” and also the apk’s from troypoint.
It works fine for those, although I now see an Indian language popup…
I’d like to get Silk to work on the Onn, If anyone has success please post.
…
Hey, Joe
Where you gonna run to now? Where you gonna run to?
Hey Joe, I said

I’m goin’ way down south
Way down to Mexico way…

Modelo especial is my fave here. I mentioned to someone else with all these unbelievably inexpensive streaming devices available in the US I’d go broke. The ONN really works decently as long as you don’t expect to much out of it. 2 days in and it streams very well. My only real complaint is the lack of a fully functional internet browser capable of doing the exact same things Silk does on the Max. For me that begins to limit my options, which I don’t like. But $20, come on what can you expect. The KM2 was more and has the exact same restrictions and limits. But they both do streaming well and I do have options.

I think the lack of a decent browser is an Android TV failing, not Onn or any other hardware device.
I tried some of the others mentioned here on this topic but for me, the Jio works the best.
