I must respectfully disagree with the stance taken by ACE in this article.
It’s not so much about protecting copyrighted material as control of information.
VPNs are illegal in China. YouTube blocked! Netflix blocked! Internet strictly government controlled.
These illegal streaming devices allow open access to the world. I don’t believe China cares about copyrighted material i.e. US TV is banned. This court decision is more about CONTROL of information and the internet. IMHO
