Go to the crew settings and then to playback. There is a toggle switch for the action that happens when you select a link. Click on it until it says auto play. I’m not at home right now to look at it and tell you exactly what the menu says, but it’s not that hard.

Is there an easy way to create a shortcut to access content on a local USB drive?
My daughter’s in the hospital and the WiFi there is not solid enough to stream anything. I really like the build, but I much prefer using Kodi as a player to MX or VLC. With raw Kodi all you have to do is click on TV or movies on the home screen and the USB drive appears and is ready to use.

Yes, but it may be easier if I send you a video. Try following this and let me know if you hit a barrier. I’m also not home right now to look at it.
In the settings submenu click on the skin shortcut. The second option in the left column should say something about customizing the home screen. Go in there and you’ll see the different tabs (settings, exit, movies, tv shows, and live TV). Go to any one of them and click on the plus button on the right to add a new one. Then in that tab click on add item or add action.

Make sure you hit “okay”. Then restart Kodi
Oh yes have definitely learned to ok everything… the hard wayy 
I already have and this was done a cpl days ago and kodi has been restarted several times since! After exiting by the exit setting I also use background apps & processes to clear caches and force stop followed by fast task killer!! After we are finished watching for the day I run background then task kill then I put the stick to sleep and when I hit the power button seconds later everything that’s plugged into the power strip under the tv plug is cut off from power completely as well as I have a controlled strip where half the plug always has power and the other half gets cut off when the controlled plug is turned off which is the tv and under it is the stick and soundbar etc etc!

Why mess with perfection! Been using this since you put it out and it works flawlessly now. The only item I changed was the video quality, Down from 4K to 1080 because my TV doesn’t really show any difference. Other than that it upgraded on it’s own. Great build

And you still can’t get the auto play feature to work? Is the toggle still showing on when you go back into the settings, or is it resetting back to list view on its own?
The only other thing I can think of is if you scroll down a little bit more and turn on “choose primary source automatically”. It’s either in that menu, or ResolveURL settings, or both.
Yea still can’t get it to it’s weird 
when I set one of the add-one up I always follow TP’s guide on it and it always works kinda crazy!! I fully agree with everyone here tho this is the best build I have ran across and I love it!! Really appreciate the time you put into this and if I can’t get it to auto play then I’ll just live without it cuz I’m not changing it!!
Oh and the toggle stays as it shows in the pic I sent each and everytime I turn it back on so it’s not changing and I’m looking for the choose primary source auto now

Yea that toggle is already on too!! All of the toggles under the RD resolve url settings are on actually!!
I will send you the video as long as I remember when I get home. I will say though that VLC is just as easy, and may be less confusing for her since the other options won’t be showing in there. You just have to tell VLC what directory to look in and then all the thumbnails will generate.
@Jayhawks659 Oh and also in the main kodi settings>> player settings>> Videos>> Actions the first one is play next video automatically and I that to tv shows, episodes as well!! I just don’t get it or maybe I won’t get it
I’ve played around in that before and it didn’t make a difference within the addons. It does make a difference for other sources you add right into the Kodi library though.
