Both VLC and MX work and theyāre ok, rewind , fast forward, engaging subtitles adjusting audio levels are all easier with Kodi, IMOā¦ especially using a remote to control which ābuttonā to hit.

I just installed this on my shield, there is no live tv in the slider. It is v1.2. i installed this on my phone yesterday and it indeed has live tv. Was it removed? Any suggestions?

Iām super annoyed with that issue because I cannot figure it out. I will tell you that it should at least be showing up in the menu. So Iām not sure why itās missing. But even if it were showing on the menu, I cannot get the guide to work on my Shield. Works perfectly fine on the fire stick, but not the shield. And all the settings are exactly the same. So, I might be able to troubleshoot with you and get the section to show up. But do you want to even use it without the guide?

I had to back out of Skeleton yesterday to get the Live Tv to show up. First time thatās happened since the install

Same here, I was in therer tweaking a few setting then liveTV disappearedā¦figured I messed something up. Took a break and it showed back up

For you guys, I think it depends on the PVR section settings. If Kodi cannot sync with the playlist right away when you launch the app then the section wonāt even show up. I had that happen once or twice before. I force closed Kodi and reopened it and let it sit for a few minutes.

Yes thatās exactly whatās happening it doesnāt sync when itās booting.
Just installing it now using a Kodi fork so I can run both my existing set up and the build. Luckily I donāt need Live TV so not an issue currently for me. But is it supposed to load TV Show .strm files as part of the install?
And even in the build Iām getting the āAdding to Libraryā notificationā¦ Why???

No, the crew addon is the only thing that updates the metadata. The widgets on the home screen only show the movie posters. Scraping only happens when you click on a poster. Thereās nothing actually configured in the ārealā tv shows section of Kodi.
As for the adding to library thing Iām stumped. The notifications never go away? Crazy that is happening with a brand new fork. Iām out for the night but when Iām back home Iāll open and close Kodi a few times and see what notifications I get.

That part Iām aware ofā¦ itās this Library notification all the time when Iāve turned everything off in that tabā¦

So just tried another fresh install and it is still importing Movies and TV Shows to the Library during the install and I even turned off āsave user dataā. This is what is coming up during the installā¦
So not sure whyā¦ No rush though. Have a good evening J.
Looks like im going to have to break out this build on my computer and do some troubleshooting. When i have time over the weekend. I never had that issue personally but i will try some tests my self.

Rework. Fixed the bugs and added some stuff. I just donāt know why it would have anything to do with the library. I never even touched my library before backing up the build and putting it in the repo. I still have yet to get that notification myself.
Ahh gotcha. Yea if you didnāt touch that part it should work like the regular crew. Not sure why that would happen as its never happened to me. Over the weekend i will look as well. Let me know if there is anything I can do.
Unfortunately i had to edit the picture becuase of it displaying the tv show which i didnt notice. I apologize for being nit picky on this matter its only for the protection of the insider not personal. People like ace are on the warpath.
But that error actually seems to be associated with that link. Does it happen on everything?

Sorry for the picture. I didnāt even think about it. Apologies. Thanks for removing it. As for the error, it doesnāt have to do with that specific linkā¦it was just to show what was importing in the build as it installed. Since there shouldnāt be any information in the Library to import from Jās build, I am at a loss as to why it continues or where it is taking this information from to import it. I have never used Library in all the years of using Kodi addonsā¦ Could it be a Trakt error that is importing from my account of shows I have watched or added to my Watchlist at some point? I have done a complete factory reset on my Shield and installed the addons fresh recently. I only started to notice this error recently when there was an issue with ResolveURL / RD where we had to use a previous version of ResolveURL to get Crew to work (workaround).
Funny thing isā¦I donāt have this issue on my FS 4K and it is configured in the same fashion as my Shieldā¦ So I am really at a loss.
Maybe I am going to need to do a full factory reset on my Shield and install fresh addons to see if I can correct the issue. Also going to look at my Trakt Account settings to see if there is anything there that can be turned off/deleted if I am no longer using that function.
