I’m a Kodi apologist for several reasons.
A big thing is that Kodi is the most reliable and flexible media player that I have experienced. That’s been the case whether streaming, playing files off of a thumb drive or HHD, or streaming from our Jellyfin server. It’s easy to switch to English for audio and subtitles if multiple languages are present.

I’ve never used Syncler, so I can’t speak for that.
I have used Weyd and Stremio extensively in the past, and I really cannot say anything negative about Stremio. Its UI is arguably better than Netflix’s or Hulu’s. But it’s a one trick pony, though admittedly it does that trick very well.

Kodi has lots of tweaks and options for the advanced user with lots of time on their hands.

Stremio for the newer user or if you just want easy access. If you want easiest setup Stremio is your best choice and can be ready to go in 5-10 minutes using Bootstrapper to Install your add-ons.

With Stremio, multiple accounts are a breeze. I have an account for grandchildren and another for family viewing. Keep your R rated or adult seperate with a confidential log in. With a good VPN and Torrentio you can watch almost everything although I highly advise a Debrid service.

What’s the advantage of one of these vs. Flix Vision which has been my go-to for a while. It’s no fuss setup of linking to RD or PM and Trakt and done it’s easy and doesn’t require a ton of setup and it’s free.

My reply is off topic but tbh I’m getting tired of having to frequently switch to new apps and try to decide which are worth paying for a sub and trying to figure out what will work with what and if im going to have to pay for a new service to watch anything if i do only to have it stop working a few months later…its all a bit confusing, aggravating, and potentially more expensive, which is the reason i started using a firestick in the first place- to save money, but it almost seems just as expensive as streaming services and cable was but i still can’t always find what i want when i want it or get it to work when i do! I always question if its me doing something wrong or if theres a problem w the app and ultimately give up out of frustration.
So im going to try these 3 apps and hope i have better luck. Thanks for letting me rant.

Welcome, as someone who has been doing this for almost a decade saving lots of money vs cable or streaming services is 100% real. BUT you will need to put in some effort and time on your part. It takes time to figure out what works for you what combination of VOD and Live TV gets you what you want at a fraction of the price but the info is all here and available. Ask questions, search the forum and you will get there

I cut my teeth on Kodi years ago and glad I did. I still use it for a back up, but I use Stremio mainly now, for movies and series. Why? one simple reason- Happy wife happy life. The wife could never quite grasp the Kodi process, but she loves the Stremio interface.
