I had a downloader code for the TV app but lost it. Did a search but can’t seem to find it. Can anyone please let me know what it is?

Thanks

It’s not an app. It’s web address you stream. You can use any browser, including the Downloader browser, to get to it. I use TV Bro as my go-to browser.

However, once you go to the website. You can make a shortcut to appear on your device homepage, pc taskbar, or pc start menu. You can even change the icon if you wish.

Pretty sure someone made a code to have have an app on ONN or Firestick after you bookmark the TVapp in your browser. Clicking on it brings you right to the site. I have it in 2 devices but lost the code.
Maybe it’s in the toolbox, just thought of that.

See @Powerfader’s response above. This is a shortcut icon that you can put on your desktop that goes into the site within a browser. This is not a standalone app, just a Kodi add-on and website.

Try this Downloader code: 573570

That’s the same website. She just made a Downloader shortcut code to get to TheTVApp website. You will still need to access via a browser.

Having a shortcut app is not necessary. You can use a browser, Downloader, TVBro, FireFox, Chrome, etc… and type in the search box thetvapp.to and it will do exactly the same thing. Then you can just save that search to your favorites for easy access. You also can use a browser that will generate its own shortcut such as Chrome, Firefox, Bing, etc…

If you want a custom shortcut app for your homepage. Then I suggest using the TV App Repo (Pic #1). This will generate a default app (ugly) you can place on your home page. Using the TV App Repo replaces the need to save the link to a browser’s favorites. It makes a direct link to the website. However, you will still need a browser to view the link. I use TVBro as my browser of choice,

If you wish to make a custom icon of your own to replace that hideous stock icon. Then use this site to do so. Generator for ATV-Launcher Apps (trekgonewild.de) Btw, this is the same site Shayde used to make her icon and then she linked the shortcut to the code you posted. If you make an icon or copy one. Make sure you save it as a PNG file.

Create your own…it’s fun!

If I don’t watch ESPN do I have to use a vpn to watch thetvapp.to? I’d rather not-I’m between vpn providers at the moment lol. I can access the site via TVBro just fine without one.

That’s up to you. I did try over a dozen different vpn locations around the world and did not find a single one that would allow ESPN or ESPN2. Those are the only 2 channels that are blocked out.

I tried using Express and Surfshark. They want to sell you Nord and that may? be the only vpn that will work for those two channels [?] Nord is good, but I already have 2 vpns and don’t want another. Maybe next year when my subs expire, I will try Nord?

You could try the FREE Proton. That one used to work.

I was wondering from a safety standpoint. Don’t want to make my isp mad. I’ve had Nord in the past but their refusal to allow me to cancel auto renewal made me mad. Luckily I had used a credit card to sign up that I knew I was going to cancel anyway but dang, they sent a ton of emails trying to get me to provide a new form of payment.

It was easier to cancel auto renewal with Surfshark by contacting support but most of their servers reduced my download speed from 460+ mbps to 80. Can you use the free Proton (it comes highly recommended) if you only use one connection at a time or do they only allow you to install it on one device?

When you speak of ESPN being blocked out by a VPN are you only speaking about the TV app?

I tried Proton on my laptop and both ESPN and ESPN 2 were still blocked, but I only tried one server.

As far as using a VPN. I use mine 24/7 on my streaming device. As long as the VPN doesn’t diminish your speeds to where the stream is negatively affected Then I suggest to always use one.

It can’t hurt and they offer another layer of protection.

Didn’t say ESPN is blocked by a VPN.

Fair enough. Thanks for the insight.

TheTVApp is doing the blocking. You need to buy Nord VPN in order for TheTVApp to unblock them. You used to be able to use many VPN and it would work. Now the new managers of the app have changed that and you need Nord. They block and unblock those 2 channels often. So, it is them doing the blocking.

Why don’t run along and go troll someone else.
