You post will probably get moved but here is a link to a pic someone else posted about the plug. I’d go to that post with questions as well.

I’ve read that and for the life of me, I can’t find a setting in my TV’s menu to do that. There is an option called screen but it’s grayed out. I’ve looked at it a number of times and have gone through the menu over and over. Nada.

That’s one problem and the other is with Cinema HD with the player not being very functional0. You can’t fast forward more then 15 seconds, there is no way to play at fast or slower speed for scrubbing through the movie. VLC, which has all the functions, doesn’t work with Cinema at all. To me, that makes Cinema pretty poor. Why can’t VLC work with it? It works fine on the Fire sticks

If the setting is greyed out then there might be a problem with the circuit board. I had that problem with an older Samsung TV where the TV tuner settings went grey on me and I couldn’t use the TV tuner anymore. How old is your TV ?

As far as Cinema HD & VCL I don’t use them. Maybe someone else can help you out with those items

I’ve just set one up in the UK which I bought in Tennessee, the power plug states usable for 110-240 volts. I got a US to UK adapter plug with 13 amp fuse from Amazon uk and it all works as it should, Installed all the same apps as I’m running on Firesticks no problem at all.

Step down transformer will solve the voltage problem. They are cheap and most use it for traveling

Is there written instructions of Troy’s video on setting up this device

I don’t think so. Watch the video it’s really helpfull and easy to understand. If you don’t use external storage you can fast forward through that part

@wadebob

@wadebob ,Think you could say that sneaker net with usb thumb drive thing to write wallpaper jpg’s to Onn 4k Pro : in kindergarten lang. for a “duh” like me ?? Would love to put personal images to my home screen on 4k pro.

Yes, the TV is probably 7 or 8. Might be time for new. It doesn’t do 4K, only 1080.

I don’t even watch 4k streams to be honest . Growing up in the 70s with rabbit ears tube TVs and 280p resolution I’m quite happy with 720p or 1080p .
Check Walmart. They have great prices and a large selection .
Good luck :crossed_fingers:

The physical transfer of files, using a usb thumb drive, works for any file type including docs, images and executables. I was using this method out of desperation because of network problems, which have since been addressed. The hot setup, and my usual method, is to transfer files from one node to another using the ftp protocol. Simply install an appropriate file manager, such as CxFileExplorer on your target device (e.g. onn 4K Pro) and start an ftp host, which will respond with the ip addr, port #, and username password. On your PC (Windows, Mac, or Linux), install an ftp client, such as Filezilla, and login to the host with the aforementioned connection info. Then you can drag and drop files in either direction. For step by step details on how to do all this, Google is your friend.

Thank you. Sounds like my next fun thing to try

Just a quik ?, so i dwnload file explor on my onn pro. How do i start ftp host? I figure u gotta click something for ftp host then input ip of the onn pro, input a port # , which is where? Then a user , the a pass. Then set up the rest on filezilla on my pc? Ok piece a cake ,can ya walk me thru dat ? Pleez :roll_eyes:

Check out X-plore as well. It even supports DLNA and stream from any server. Regular version from the play store is all you need. Full functionality. Great app.
