Try a wired mouse or wireless usb mouse - I use on Nokia Android TV box for apps that need a mouse input - a wireless keyboard will also work

I kind of ran into an oddity with the 4K Pro:

Youtube doesn’t load using the Projectivy launcher. It does when using the stock, Google, launcher.

This is the only one of our devices that doesn’t work with Youtube being accessed via the Projectivy launcher, including the Onn 4K Plus.

Try Smarttube or TizenTubeColbait…

I’ve never tried or heard of TizenTube, for that matter, but my wife hates Smart tube for some reason.

It’s probably because she likes watching Traveling Robert and Joe & Nick and the official app pretty much makes it easy for her to click on another video within the series.

The Tizen app I mentioned is the same interface as regular YouTube and ad free.

You can get it from the developer GitHub here

@Avid08 is this Tizen app an Ad Free YouTube app for those with Samsung TV’s? I use youtube a lot but on my PC not on my TV ever but I do have a Samsung UHD TV. Just wondering if that is what this is

No it’s not the Tizen Samsung app and it will work on any android device. I have tested it and it works well with my existing YouTube account.

Edit

If you don’t like the look of Smarttube then you will definitely like this one.

@elginherd Same thing with FLauncher and Wolf Launchers using ONN 4K Pro android tv box - won’t open YouTube from there. So I just use Smart tube :+1:

I was wondering about what would happen with the Wolf Launcher…thanks, now I won’t need to bother trying it

Hey Avid,

Thanks.

The TizenTube launches successfully directly from the Projectivy launcher and, like you said, has the same UI as YouTube.

Shortcut for the “I dont want to read all that” crowd:

TizenTube Cobalt AFTVNEWS code: 6366500

For a better experience, use TizenTube Cobalt on a Google TV certified device

Source: All info was copied and pasted here from GitHub - reisxd/TizenTubeCobalt: Experience TizenTube on other devices that are not Tizen.

(scroll to the bottom and you will find it)

I use Youtube a lot but only on my PC. With Adblock and Adguard I never see Ads. Is this basically Ad free Youtube that I could use on my ONN 4K Pro if I wanted to? Does it integrate with Youtube? Meaning if I log in it will have all my Youtube channels or do I need to start from scratch with Tizen?

Yes once you log into your account it will have all your YouTube content and the UI will be the same no ads. I think I explained that when I originally posted the GitHub link.

As a side note I was thinking of changing to a Google streamer as it has HDR10 HLG Dolby vision and everything, would you say thats a good device for the price or can is it better to spend a bit more ans get something better. Would really appreciate your advice as I have seen on a lot of posts you reply and have vast more knowledge about devices then me.

Many Thanks

Well it depends pretty much on your budget. The Onn Pro is an excelllent place to start as it’s very inexpensive. Ugooos, Formuler, and Buzz all have very good products, again it’s mostly about the price. Use the search and look at Troy’s tutorials and videos. They can give you much better in depth reviews and suggestions, than I can with mere words.
