Had at least 5 in the device cabinet at my local store.I have no interest in one.

Hello, I should have explained more on this. The benchmark can measure both CPU and GPU which is the graphics card computing power. Both play a role in the overall performance of the device. I was just trying to get across the point that if you are only using this for streaming you will have no problems. I’ve been testing for the past few days and it plays 4K video perfectly. Now, if you’re a serious gamer I wouldn’t use this and I would still go for something like the NVIDIA Shield Pro. I still think most serious gamers are using either a Playstation, Xbox, or PC and I really don’t know how much gaming has taken off on these streaming devices. My son is a big gamer but he only plays on PC and would never think about messing with one of these streaming devices, even the Shield.

I picked up one today. And i got the same remote you got. everything is installing pretty easily.

Thanks Troy! I received mine today, same remote as you. I installed Projectivity Launcher and the custom button does work for me (I shortcut to Tivimate).

I went back and watched your video particularly about the sound on the device itself. In order to just talk to the device I did have to have the TV off and I also had to have the HDMI cable disconnected from the device. At that point I was able to check weather, tell me a joke, etc, right to the device only. So, here’s my question, I have spotify for example loaded and if I am completely disconnected from the TV and have it standalone, I say hey google, open spotify and play XX list. It says it’s opening and going to play but I have no sound at that point. SO, do you all think it needs the TV to play stand alone music? (I was wondering if I could use it just as a music speaker). UPDATE: when I connected it back to the TV through the HDMI port and turned the TV on, Spotify was open with the playlist I requested.

Also–it’s cool that you can say Hey Google, open Plex or whatever but she doesn’t seem to recognize Tivimate, anybody figured out how to pronounce Tivimate in order to get her/him to open? lol.

I bought one just to see what the hype was all about. Then I went through my cabinet and realized that I still have 2 4K MAX still in the box.

What I have works fine and if it isn’t broke, don’t fix it. I’ll be returning the one that I have.

ty for the quick reply

Where do you live? Somebody might want to buy it from you.

Return your 2 4k max and get more $ back… just saying

No need for an apology at all… i was just kidding. I was flattered to be mistaken for Troy.

Is that a Ed Norton reference with your name?

I did, the usb port power up but dont recognize any pendrive, fat 16, fat 32…

Rewatch Troy’s vid please. He definately shows how to format a USB drive and where to see the options to do so.

One thing I find missing on the remote is a menu button. That’s a must for anyone using Kodi. Has anyone discovered a work around?

My experience with the new Free Tv button remote is you long press the select button instead of using the menu button, Hamgurger,3 line button as on the Fire Stick remote.

It popped up in Richmond and Hampton Virginia

HMMM just ordered mine and pick up is at 2:12. Hopefully I won’t get canx.

In KODI the menu buttons are all in the Build and/or Addons that you use
