Help with starting up kodi

Trying to upload kodi as i get to the install from file dmx i have no internet. But kodi says connected. Help please

Are you using Kodi TV box. If yes check your google account for updates and notifications.

In my case Kodi TV box shows connected but google blocked my internet traffic due to update and notifications must be turned on.
