Ok. Good luck. You arent using a build right?

Nope – I will rebuild Kodi, Umbrella and Seren from scratch.

Help!! I installed Prominence build thinking it was a add on, and I don’t like it or the interface. I also can’t find Umbrella and The Crew, which I had previously installed. I want Kodi back like it was previously. When I login to Kodi, it goes straight to the Prominence screen. This is the latest Kodi 21.2 btw.

Unfortunately if you installed a Build your previous setup (in your case Umbrella and The Crew addons) are now gone. You are going to have to start over if you want to get your previous setup back. I would recommend going to Troy’s toolbox and installing the latest version of KODI (21.2 I believe) then reinstalling Umbrella and The Crew. Make sure to reathorize Real Debrid and Trakt if you use it

Thanks MarkxG, I’ve re-installed them but when I open Kodi, it still starts with Prominence. I want it to start with the default Kodi logo 21.2

Yup all you did was add Umbrella and The Crew to the Prominance Build. You need to completely reinstall a fresh version of KODI (can get it in Troy’s Toolbox) which will wipe Prominance. Then you need to reinstall Umbrella and The Crew.

You can also go to Settings then Apps on your device. Select Kodi. Then select Clear Data.
This should wipeout all that you loaded onto kodi and let you start fresh.

Thanks JPM69, so I have re-installed Kodi Omega 21.2, and it still loads the Prominence interface. So what you’re saying is I need to delete Kodi completely, then re-install it, then re-install my add ons Umbrella and the Crew? Just trying to get clarity here, thanks.

No you only need to delete the data in kodi and then reinstall the addons etc.
You can also delete kodi entirely and reinstall as @MarkxG suggested. I am not entirely sure if downloading 21.2 over an already installed 21.2 will wipeout the data.
You can only have 1 version of kodi installed on your device (not including forks) at once.

As mentioned you will need to clear data by finding the app in android settings or completely uninstall and then a fresh install.
The first option is the quickest.
Kodi 21.2 is available from their website but not sure if it has been released on the playstore yet.

As @MarkxG mentioned 21.2 is available in Troys Toolbox on Downloader.

I would recommend doing a Fresh Install vs cleaning the data. Much more cleaner

Thanks again JPM69. You’re correct, re-installing 21.2 didn’t fix the problem. I tried it. I’ll do what you suggested.

So when you delete the data, are you deleting everything in Kodi or just Prominence? I’m about to try it and re-install Umbrella and The Crew.

You delete everything clearing data and Kodi is back to how you first installed it.
I never reinstall it.

Last time I will say this but the better solution is to just install a fresh copy of KODI. It will wipe whatever Build and addons you have (in your case The Prominance Build). Then you can reinstall Umbrella and The Crew

As @Avid08 said… Deleting the data will revert kodi to its original form. Deleting Kodi and reinstalling is an option as well.
I only delete kodi and reinstall when sometimg wasnt working correctly. Just to make sure any possible errors have been eradicated. Its not hard to do either method. One just takes an extra minute.
For all i can see you just want to get rid of the build. Deleting data should solve that. Deleting kodi will do that too. Neither option will retain anything on kodi you previously installed.

@JPM69 we may be mincing words here but I’ve never deleted KODI. I just do a fresh install and it deletes what I previously had. we are talking the same thing here though

Ok i am a little confused. Where do you Fresh install? I usually only see that when installing over a build. They “fresh install” instead of updating or loading the new one over the existing one.
Are you just going to the Toolbox and installing kodi over the existing kodi?
The Fresh Start option in the Wizard for Diggz is just deleting the data.
So i guess thats the same thing just hitting a different button.

Thanks for all replies. I got it back to normal. You guys have been a big help. I have one more newbie question. What is a fork? Is it like a build?
