During the real debrid hysteria, I cancelled my account and received a refund. I starting using Premiumize. That will expire in a month…so I thought for the month I would try RD again since people here say it’s working again.When I tried to buy RD for a month, I got a message saying I couldn’t add premium because of the refund. I still have 750 loyalty points I would like to keep if possible. Is there a way to buy RD Premium again or do I have start over with a new e-mail address and start a new account?

You would need to use a different email and have a new account.

Yea, I would just make a new email and create a new account. Doesn’t sound like they backed off the bans to those who asked for refunds. The 750 fidelity points, although a nice supplement, don’t even get you a free $2.79 month.

As an extra layer of caution, I would also use a different location on your vpn - if you used it to originally sign on to create the RD account. That way, if you were flagged due to the rebate, you may be able to dodge that issue as well. Worth a shot I guess.

Even using a new email may not work, any time I’ve renewed RD you have to have your VPN off. So if your IP is flagged you still may be SOL.

I was wondering the same thing. They may have your IP on file. However, if you sign up using your phone data it wont be the same as your wifi.

Maybe that’s a work around too.

I have seen a few users on Reddit mention they just used a new email address and had no issues.
But as mentioned just use your mobile data to sign up if you are worried they know your original ip address.
I didn’t understand all the panic when they first made the announcement last year because they didn’t say they were closing the service.

I was able to sign up using a new e-mail address. Although they wouldn’t accept my alias address. So, what’s the deal with RD, are they saying if you left them and asked for a rebate they don’t want you back? Not sure that’s a great business model.

A lot of the “panic” was created here as is often the case. Posts recommending to move away from RD to Premiumize were recommended and many followed including me. My RD is good till July 2025 so I did the smart thing and bought 1 month of Premiumize. When most of the (good) KODI dev’s created a workaround in 3 days and RD was good to go again I cancelled my 1 month Premiumize sub and have been using RD since. There’s a strong herd mentality here

I kept my RD but got a great deal for Premiumize so I bought a lengthy sub for it. RD did the right thing and I use both my premium subs about equally. Always nice to have a backup. Get along little doggy.

I did the exact same and would have never left or asked for a refund after nine years of great service, well until I definitely knew that it was done and dusted.
Any down time during those years, which wasn’t many I just bought a month of All Debrid except for the API change problem because I thought AD would follow suit as they are under a similar region and jurisdiction.
PM doesn’t have those problems being located in Malaysia.

I added Premiumize when real-d was dealing with problems. So, now I have both. I’m happy that I do. They both seem to work better together than ever. However, I know they are really about the same. But it’s nice seeing all the paths to your target with both services. Sometimes I have to switch a path because the one I got first is in a foreign language. Strange in a way… I always set the player language settings to English.

RD does have more servers and did have the biggest cache and has been around since 2009.
But PM is still probably the second best dedrid service and slowly catching up to RD.

I turned off the auto pay for Premiumize and will let it expire next month, while also extending my subscription for RD.I never had problems with RD but I rushed to Premiumize. If any issues come up with RD, I’ll extend with Premiumize for a month or so…

I asked for a refund as well and when it was all figured out the told me that they would not grant me another account and that I should take my business elsewhere. Typical French behavior IMO. I tried another email addy but it’s the IP address they recognize.
I went with Premiumize and haven’t looked back since it works every bit as good. As far as I’m concerned, RD can FO.

Just doesn’t seem like a good business model, especially when you’re starting to lose so much money… I’m glad you worked it out with PM. I’m also happy I was able to get back on RD as I prefer it …
