I don’t think this problem had been opened before.
Three or four times i’ve installed Kodi 20.5 as I use Seren plus three sports addons, everything has worked fine, and 21 Omega don’t suppport Kodi 21(yet) but whats happening overnight is the next day when I boot up my Shield tv (tube) I launch Kodi then it starts to clear the cache then it boots into Omega 21 overwriting 20.5 still have my apps in place but of course I get the Seren error, this not good enough.
Anyone know the reason and how to rectify it.
I’m not 100% sure what you’re saying here but Seren works on Kodi Omega. Troy did an article on it recently -

Thanks for the reply bruv, but thats the way I always set up Kodi.
Just to reiterate what i’m saying the problem is that Kodi does not work with seren on 21 omega, or rather it does work but we always get an error message when we launch seren.
So for this reason until it’s sorted, I use 20.5 this works perfectly but what is happening overnight mysteriously 20.5 gets overwritten by 21.0.
The only time I found that seren worked on 21 was with Diggz but that is bloatware I can’t stand it just for Seren to run properly.
Oh! by the way just to add atm i’m using troypoint 20.5 fork that works perfectly ok and don’t get overwritten.

You can download the Seren addon without downloading a build so I don’t understand what you mean by bloatware.

Your initial post is not very easy to understand, so I wouldn’t throw too many jabs at those trying to decipher what you are saying and then trying to help. Things like this: "21 Omega don’t suppport Kodi 21(yet) " are super confusing and tough to comprehend what exactly you mean. I believe the summary is that you believe Seren won’t work with Kodi 21 (Omega) unless it is in a Diggz build. I just downloaded the standalone app on Kodi 21 using Troy’s instructions, and I am now watching a movie with Seren as we speak.

Also, I would assume the Play Store is auto-updating your Kodi from 20.5 to 21? Maybe check those settings.

By bloatware i mean masses of apps/addons that for me is too much.
All I use is Kodi with Seren + 3 sports addons, Rising-Tides, The Loop, SportHD
I’ve been using Kodi and Seren for many years and never had the problem i’m getting now with this 21.0 Omega with other other Kodi versions.
Just a side note Diggz is using Seren 3.0.3 whereas only 3.0.0 is still only avalible to us mere mortals.

I am not saying it don’t work but on launching Seren I get the error message come up top right of the screen about checking the log.
Why would play store AU? I never use it, I d/l Kodi from Downloader

If you go into the Digzz repo then video add-ons, Seren 3.03 is available to download without anything else.

It is in the Play Store, so if you have your settings to auto-upate apps, once Kodi 21 became stable it likely will continue to try and update from 20.5 to 21. At least I’m guessing that is the case. I had Kodi 20 loaded on my Shield and the day after 21 was stable, it updated itself.

i’ve yet again reinstalled 21.0 found the Seren 3.0.3 on Diggz (thanks never knew about this)
Got a problem though getting error message something about (Request could not be satisfied cannot be downloaded)
So still cannot get it.

I’ve learned that you shouldn’t get too attached to any 1 Addon as they all pretty much do the same thing with a few different tweaks here and there. If you are having problems with Seren on 21 Fire it and move on. Plenty of great working Addons on 21. Umbrella, Homelander, and The Crew just to name a few

You can move on as @MarkxG suggests or are you really that set against having a Build? No one using Diggz on Kodi 21 has a problem with Seren Omega. The other suggested addons are great too with or without the build.
The latest Diggz build is only 273MB at download. A lot of what looks as though its part of the build is really only an icon until you select to download it. Seren Omega included. While it is shown in the movies section it is technically not on the build yet but the repo is there ready to DL the addon when you click the icon.
You can also Uninstall anything you feel is unnecessary.
I personally dont see this build as bloated but i guess it could also depend on the device you’re using and its storage available.
I remember having builds 3 times this size and not 1/2 as good.

Wait, are people really having issues with just the Seren add-on on Kodi 21 Omega? Works perfectly for me, I just tested it for this thread.

I’ve been getting the Seren error ever since updating Kodi to 21, but just been ignoring it as Seren seems to be working fine.

So sorry are you saying that on booting 21 when you click on Seren to launch it you don’t get the error message pop up.

I saw the message when I first installed, but now I don’t get it at all and Seren works great.
You were dead right bruv, i knew nothing of this, I never really use Play Store surprised that it was doing the updating, i’ve now disabled all updates on play store so now I still have 20.5 untainted 
So i’m sticking with that, until they sort Seren on Kodi 21 omega.
Thanks for all the help, I didn’t think I knew everything, but I certainly learned a lot from y’all.
