I think the issue is Seren hasn’t “officially” declared the add-on for Kodi 21 use, but it still functions perfectly fine for me on 21. So I’m guessing that triggers the error message? Maybe someone in here has a more official look at the add-on and its developer to verify my statement.

That makes sense. When I installed the new Shield device, I also upgraded to Kodi 21 at the same time-- so 21 could well have been the trigger to start the error message.

I had the same issue when I upgraded to Kodi 21. Annoying as hell. So I reinstalled Kodi 20.5 and problem fixed no sense stressing over something you have no control over. Eventually either Kodi or Seren will figure it out and I’ll upgrade then. Good luck

That is exactly the same error message I get.
I have to ignore the error message just like you.
