Lol. I know what was said and you have your facts slightly askew. But again this thread would be hijacked further. I never trust AI I just used that as an example of info that can readily be obtained if the time is put in. But like the fact you laugh at the %400 speed improvement. You really need to read an entire subject as it’s not an unreasonable claim given the specific examples and circumstances they use. Look you like to argue and to cajole and I have obliged you more than I should. I am done. Be well @Avid08 and enjoy your streaming.

I don’t have my facts askew.
I have also read the article and it states it increases the speed of their vpn 400%
It doesn’t mean it can increase the speed on your connection supplied to you by your isp.
Like I said a speed test is not a representation of your actual speed because you can try several different speed test and you will get varying results.
They can give you a rough idea if you have an issue with your connection.
Ping tests are more helpful if you are testing something like a VPN to see how it negatively it is affecting latency which they usually do.
Unless your ISP’s routing is inefficient, then a VPN can be helpful in this case or they are throttling your connection which they can do at times.
I understand how VPN’s work because I have done research.
I don’t like to argue I just don’t think it is helpful making unrealistic claims on a subjects that is widely known to be incorrect.
A vpn can’t increase the speed of the connection that your isp supplies to you.
The only way to increase it is to purchase a higher speed package.
If you don’t wish to accept or understand that then fair enough.

You just like to think you’re right and in this case you plainly aren’t. You haven’t done your research on Proton and have clearly misunderstood a lot because you have read a little. So once again I am not continuing this arguement just to amuse you. Have a great day and good luck with your learning, I know I will with mine.

I have done the research and used Proton vpn and know others that have used it.
I did not increase my connection speed because any vpn can’t increase the speed of a connection that is designated and supplied by your isp only by purchasing I higher connection speed package can this be achieved.
Ask anyone involved in networking for a living or even your isp and they will say the same.
You just don’t want to except a commonly known fact.
But that is your choice it would seem.
You say there is no sense in discussing this, but you keep replying for some reason. It looks like you like to argue.

You have latched onto this %400 figure and continue to fixate on it. Fact: some ppl pay for 50 Mbps down from their ISP, but their system only gets 10 down. Certainly not the ISPs fault or maybe it is. So using Proton VPN and other Proton products certain improvements can be made to improve certain aspects for better speed. So how much exactly is a %400 increase in this scenario? Very achievable. So you are implying that a reputable company with amazing techs and top line staff is lying? Tell ya what, I never ever claimed I get such speed improvements and stand by my facts on my system and oddly enough I believe and trust that Proton knows more about their products than you do so I’ll believe them way ahead of you. So you believe what you believe and I’ll do the same. The bottom line is I get a better, more stable, and faster experience using Proton than without and as long as I get good streaming with minimal buffering using Proton, that’s all I need. So all this back and forth is a waste of time.

Wow…i didn’t realize how much of an echo there is on the interweb…or maybe itz cuz i been drinkin already this morning…

I haven’t mentioned it in my last post and I’m not fixated on it either.
I said it stated it increased the VPN speed by 400% in a previous post.
There are lots of factors that can impact connection speed. Equipment limitations, using hardwired, WiFi interference, etc
I will say again using a speed test is not an accurate representation of your Internet speed. It’s a guide and not accurate.
I have also mentioned several times that a vpn can’t increase the speed of your designated connection speed from your ISP. Which is a known fact.
Just because a company claims something doesn’t mean it’s actually a fact.
You have heard of false advertising I would assume.
Just remember, it’s not a lie if you believe it.

Good morning @itzme . Have a buffer free day.
