Well I have the visual proof as well as tech results that it does provide me with the full speed my ISP provides and at times better than what they claim to provide me. For me it is possible. Do I know how? Not really. Do I care. Also not really. As long as I get good speeds, can surf the net, send and receive e:mails and in general enjoy my streaming, I am a happy camper. I have had subs with the top VPN suppliers and Proton works for me and their claims are honest. YMMV.

If Proton was such a great vpn and could do what they claim it does it would be well documented online in forums, chat groups and I think everyone would be using it.
A bit like iptv providers claiming they have 8k streams that donā€™t exist and users believing it.

It is documented. It is on line, and there are those here, like myself who use it, with the same result. YMMV. The only reason Iā€™ve seen that more donā€™t use it is itā€™s more expensive than say SS and does not provide unlimited connections. Even their free VPN is rated as one of the best, but the servers often get full due to the ā€œfreeā€, aspect.

Why are you using Surfshark on Kodi and not your other apps like Weyd, Stremio and Syncler?

I have not seen it mentioned online like Reddit, Discord or any of the online Tech forums I use.
Even all the online reviews and guides donā€™t list it as the fastest vpn on the market.
I will say what is well documented that
you cannot get a VPN that has a 1:1 ratio of speed or faster compared to the speed from your ISP.
Also when an vpn encrypts data it increases latency and ping which slows the transfer of data packets through servers back to your home network.

The information is out there and there certainly are forums, ya just have to want to research and read. But as I have mentioned, it doesnā€™t matter as long as I get what I paid for. Everyone is entitled to believe what they want and who am I to disagree? Have a buffering free day @Avid08. I have more important things to think about.

Iā€™ll verify what Miki says.
Currently, Iā€™m not using Proton clients on my devices while at home. Instead Iā€™m using ASUSā€™s VPN client on the router with several VPN locations available, a few each OpenVpn and Wireguard.

With Wireguard, the DL speeds usually nearly matches or exceeds the speeds of when Proton is disconnected.

Links would be helpful but not sure if you have any.
Also I donā€™t always believe what users post on forums and look at different resources myself of official online reviews which carry out thorough testing of different services.
Then I try the service for myself to see if what they claim is accurate.

I am one of those like Miki, I donā€™t know how some foods are made, but I still like to eat them.

I worked with IPV VPN support for days. I just wanted to get close to what I paid my ISP for. On occasion, itā€™s very close, on others itā€™s more, while connected via ethernet.

My ping and latency was negatively affected with all the VPNā€™s I used with any of the protocols available.
Which in turn reduced the speed of the data that I accessed when the vpn was enabled.
I wasnā€™t using speed test websites or apps because they are not accurate.
A vpn canā€™t speed up your connection nor can it give better ping or latency speeds.
In some case when your isp is throttling your connection it can help but in general use adding complexity diminishes performance.
All you have do a basic ping test with and without you vpn enabled and see the results.

Well be my guest and do the research. Even take a look at the independent audits. I certainly wonā€™t be doing your work for you.

It can and does speed up my connection. Of course pings can be improved via many methods, even without a vpn. I can improve throughput just by using a different server. We use to tune our own connection via simple things like MTU. So what experts can do with coding alone is like magic these days. Whatever tests you want can be done. But this is derailing the thread so I am done discussing this. Wonā€™t ever sway your opinion no matter what proof is given. Have a good day.

I have looked and looked at the independent reviews.
You have given no proofā€¦

I did. The screenshot. But as I said I wonā€™t help you get your answers as you are already predisposed to find anything I post as untrue. I will not participate in a futile effort nor will I continue to derail this topic. All that matters is Iā€™m happy with a product that I know from years of use and research ,simply works and does what they say it does.

A screenshot proves nothing.
It is a widely known fact that a vpn canā€™t increase the speed of a connection that an isp provides.
Ask the question on Reddit or any credible forum and it will be confirmed.

Are you saying Reddit is a credible forum???

Well Reddit does say it works and there are blogs with ppl who say so. You donā€™t belief what is on the internet, but do some reading and I can go on ad nauseam. The following was even 4 yrs ago, so imagine how much better the tech is now.

Boost VPN speeds by up to 400% with VPN Accelerator | Proton VPN.

It does have credible information on it.
I would never claim all the information on it is fact.
It also has many credible users on it and some are very knowledgeable code developers.
One thing I do know is you canā€™t increase the speed of your connection that you isp supplies you with.
You can max it out but you canā€™t make it faster than what is supplied even with a vpn.
Itā€™s a ridiculous statement and if you made the claim on Reddit or any other credible Tech forum you would be called out on it.
A bit like claiming 8k resolution iptv channels exist. They donā€™t.

I also donā€™t believe articles written by a vpn company claiming that their vpn can increase your internet connection by 400% lol.
Just remember itā€™s not lie if you believe it.

Well I know there is no sense in discussing this with you as even the visual proof would not matter to you. I certainly am not going to give you a copy of my ISP contract showing the speeds I pay for 150Mbps down, and then invite you to sit right here and see the results like the one I posted. Their claims are legitimate and there is absolutely no need for them to fabricate or lie about their facts. They have been around long enough to get a good rep with giving honest and truthful facts. Works for me and no other VPN supplier Iā€™ve ever used have provided me with the stability and speeds I get with Proton.
No 8K channels? Say it isnā€™t so. My streaming life will never be the same now I know that, well if weā€™re to believe you. GL2U
Oh btw this is the answer my AI gives:
Yes, there is at least one dedicated 8K channel, the NHK BS8K channel in Japan, which is considered the worldā€™s first 8K television channel, broadcasting movies, documentaries, and other content in 8K resolution

Like I said speed tests are not an accurate representation of your actual speed. A speed test is not accurate proof
Neither are some claims made by a company selling a product.
Independent analysis is more credible.
400% lol
Also you seem to forget it was you who claimed you had access to 8k iptv channels in another thread.
I did actually mention the Japanese satellite channel in that discussion and I stated it was the only channel that existed with 8k resolution.
You didnā€™t agree and claimed otherwise.
I didnā€™t use AI either because itā€™s not always accurate
