My SS is strange at times. Interesting to note there are times whaer nothing will work until I turn off SS and times where I have to turn it on. Also, when TM isn’t working that well I use Sparkels and it works perfect

I’m using NORD VPN most of the time now as I’m tired of fighting with SS. A couple of server locations work “most” of the time for me but not always: Bend, Salt Lake City and Las Vegas. On a couple of my providers, some work fine on one location, but another another provider doesn’t. Las Vegas used to be my go to location but that started acting up in the past few weeks. Otherwise I was using UK locations which I did not have a problem 99% of the time, but speeds were slower but usable. Most of the locations have been like this for awhile.
Chicago hasn’t been good for over a year or so. The OpenVPN-UDP did not work for me when I tried it out a couple of weeks ago.

I’ve been having issues lately, also, I live in the PNW area and the Bend, OR servers are the closest for me. But since selected “fastest location” I get bumped to Vancouver, BC. I can’t quite figure that out as it would logically be that the closest location would be best. Go figure!
I’m also typically getting download speed similar to what I got with IP Vanish. It’s passable but not great.
Coincidentally… I just reprogrammed my router and switched the internal VPN clients and my SurfShark from VPN Fusion/WireGuard to VPN Director/OpenVPN. Not that I had identified any particular issues with SurfShark (and I’m still there using OpenVPN)… but the new setup runs like butter. In comparison to VPN Fusion/WireGuard, I’m seeing better operation with the AsusWRT Merlin firmware and OpenVPN with LAN Director.

Does no one else just create Surfshark Wireguard configs and use those with the Wireguard app or on their router/phone instead of the Surfshark app?
I don’t even have the Surfshark app on any devices.

New update: checked my other Firestick which has not update SurfShark and the US sites are still blocking my IPTV provider.

I’ve been having issues consistently connecting to SS as well. Sometimes it works and sometimes it basically blocks everything. If I turn it off, the iptv works fine. I offer no solutions, just reaffirming the complaint.
I actually posted about it Here recently.

Yes, SS (US servers) just started blocking my IPTV provider.

How do you know if it’s blocked? My SS hasn’t worked right in a week.

That’s just my guess. That’s why I posted here, to see if it was just me. I can access my provider fine with SS turned off or connecting through overseas servers. I can access my provider fine with IPVanish. When I contacted SS, they said they did not support IPTV and basically blew me off.
I live in the middle of FL. Miami has the fastest ping time. But, I could not get any IPTV through TIVIMate at Miami, Atlanta, Asburn, or Chatlotte. Finally got service at Houston. Changed from Wire guard to others and no help.
Now, I am getting no IPTV whatsoever on Firestick 4k Max, MeKool , or ONN!
Fortunately my wife will be able to watch the news on the stations app.
What could be the cause of this ? I haven’t needed SS lately since my current isp doesn’t block anything. I’m located in FL as well.

Try Mumbai, Delhi, Singapore or Hong Kong. They all worked for me.
You could try static ip in surfshark. Mines has trouble connecting also. I know to that my iptv says to turn the security off thru advanced settings on xfinity and AT&T, spectrum
Trust me. It is not Surfshark blocking IPTV. It is the IPTV blocking certain IPS of VPNs. Best to use static servers and not ones that can rotate.

Put it on Brazil or Bahamas it’ll work
I suggest you use OpenVPN (UDP) instead of wireguard under Setting/Protocol. I found it works for me.
