It’s a feature I have never had use in all the time I have used Tivimate.
Great for users who’s service is tied to a specific app.

Same here. I’ve been aware of it and experimented with it, but never found it helped.

I was also told by SS tech support that SS does not work well with android TV boxes.

Sparkle seems to work for now. Fingers crossed. Thanks

Huh!!! Have 4 Shields & SS works perfectly on them.

I had SS connected with Kill activated then later observed that SS disconnected but I’m still streaming away. So contacted their chat support and was told (in writing) that SS not really designed to support IPTV.

That’s what they told me as well.

That is the PC answer. You think they are going to admit supporting illegal activities? Come on Man! How about torrents???

That’s the only way I am able to update SS on either of my Shield pros. Every time I follow the update link in the app, it goes through the motions then I get an “update failed” message.

We have a locally owned ABC affiliate in our are and they have been geoblocking for some time. I have SurfShark set to connect to the fastest location to get up and running faster, then we change the connection location to a place outside the geoblocked area.

Happy Birthday @Leslie.South22 I hope you have a wonderful buffer free day.

I tried this solution. It doesn’t work.

It doesn’t work for you :sob:…but it does work for me :100::+1::tada: :champagne::sparkler:

Thanks so much for that info Miki! I now know I can use their suggested user-agents but do you know how I can find my providers user agent name? Would it be part of the m3u they send or it’s not related? Thanks again!

If you don’t know your suppliers user agent then just give one of the options in the tutorial until you get one to work. For example>
VLC
VLC/3554
IPTVSmartersPro
Wink/1.31.1
ProPlayer
PurplePlayer
XCIPTV
Mozilla/5.0

You could ask your supplier what player they recommend for their service and just enter the name of it into user agent.
You only really need the user agent if you are having issues with your playlist in Tivimate.
I would try VLC for a m3u playlist if you are having issues in Tivimate…

Thanx Miki, you’re help and advice is always appreciated. I have entered a user agent and will keep you updated later on if it seems to have helped.

Thanks for the suggestion @avid08. I entered a Mozilla/5.0. I will let you all know if it was helpful. If not I will try VLC as you suggest.

If your supplier doesn’t insist that you use a certain app then you should be fine to use Tivimate and no need to use the user agent feature.
But no harm in trying if you are having issues with your playlist….
