I have Bricked my ONN to the Black Screen of Death twice from Launchers. Follow the following steps to get to the menu to do a Factory Reset

I held reset for 5 seconds and repaired the remote,. I am able to watch TV.
But, I plan on resetting to factory and starting over, this time without a flash drive, which has caused me the problems.

I donā€™t like it the ONN cannot control both a tv and sound bar. Dumb,.

You might want to take a look at this thread if your box was reset to factory settings.

Check if you have CEC for your tv. You could or should be able to power on the soundbar when the tv goes on

I set my tv cec to power up the soundbar. Once i press the power button my Onn pro, TV and soundbar all go on. I use the IR setting from the
Onn Pro to control volume from the sound bar.

Curious about increasing internet speed on onn 4k pro. Used a 1 gig adapter on my old onn box and it works, but wonā€™t work on the 4k pro.

Kik, Iā€™m very curious to hear more about this.

Well as I said, Iā€™m able to increase speed on my Onn 4k box with a 1 gig Ethernet adapter. But it simply wonā€™t work on my 4k pro. Used a couple different ones including u green. Iā€™ve seen a couple videos where they show this working on the 4k pro, but alas not for me.

If youā€™re willing to lose the USB 3.0 input on the back, all you have to do is get an Ethernet USB 3.0 adapter like this one. Plug the USB plug of the adapter into the Onn and then plug the Ethernet from your router into the input of the adapter. Your speeds should at least double.

Amazon.com: Cable Matters Plug & Play USB to Ethernet Adapter with PXE, MAC Address Clone Support (USB 3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet, Ethernet to USB, Ethernet Adapter for Laptop) Supporting 10/100/1000Mbps in Black : Electronics

I decided not to go that way for now because I want to use my USB input for storage and my internet speeds are overall fast enough using Wi-Fi so Iā€™m not too worried about my speed.

But why not buy a powered hub with an ethernet port? Thatā€™s what I did with the Amazon Sticks. This allowed me to not only plug in an ethernet cable and the hub was a Gig ethernet plug, although the Micro USB on the Stick only allows something like 456Mbs throughput, but thatā€™s plenty. Then with the hub it had 3 USB ports and I could not only add storage but also a dongle for a mini Keyboard with a trackpad. Plenty of posts and doing this sort of thing if you search. I loved supercharging sticks.

Iā€™ve tried both and I get a no internet connection. I sent back the one you described still have my green with 3 usb hub. I get fast enough speed without but canā€™t figure out why it wonā€™t work. Just trying to supercharge things lol.

You guys and your cords and plugs and hubs. Ehhhh. Itā€™s 2024 Ethernet is not the bomb it was 5 years ago. if you have a gig just go wireless especially if you have Fiber.

I got fiber, put in the road 6 months ago, keep putting my address in the internet computer internet and nobodyā€™s claiming the fiber. They say itā€™s not in my area yet! Reminds me that day in California train high speed rail train to nowhere, now Iā€™ve got fiber to nowhere! LOL

Yep, thatā€™s another way to go to expand USB inputs but in my particular case, the Onn sees an external USB drive as storage (even with a hub) but Tivimate doesnā€™t. But thatā€™s another story. I use Wi-Fi and I think the only way to solve my particular problem is to install a file manager app and Iā€™ve targeted one to install and try it out but I havenā€™t been in a hurry since the Onn has PLENTY of storage space and I donā€™t need much for my needs.

I was in supercharge mode too for a while.

X-plore is the one I use. There are settings you can access to format as internal or external. I am not sure the exact location and route but there are vids and threads on how to do this. I donā€™t have an ONN. Ooops.

I have not yet set up my Onn with an OTG cable but I really should and once again test the ADM app that would never work on the FS. If I can get some of these working, then a hub as Miki says would be a good idea so I can add storage, an external keyboard etc.

Good day Wiz. Donā€™t the ONNs have a USB port? If so no ā€œOn The Goā€ cable needed.

We donā€™t all have access to gig internet. Just donā€™t understand how the 4k onn box works with 1 gig Ethernet adapter and the 4k pro doesnā€™t. At least for me Mark!

No idea either. My point was if you good wireless then the Hell with Ethernet. Too many people are living in the past 5 years when wireless sucked. But now itā€™s really good for the most part. If you have good wireless you donā€™t need Ethernet

I agree Mark. I have fiber gig-speed in my house and run everything on wifi. But an issue that plagues a guy with a Fire Cube, Nvidia Shield Pro and the Onn Pro is the speeds translated at each of the units. Typically the Shield is a sky rocket at 175mbps, the Cube at 150mps and the Onn at 55mbps. Now 55mbps is is usually just fine for most 4k videos. The issue is that if you fast-forward or rewind the Onn you get the pin-wheel. And if you go with the first 4k link presented by Real Debrid the Onn is going to hang up fairly often. Of course YMMV.
