It seems its only for right handed people. Or is there volume buttons on the left side too? I didn’t see any.

I’m lefthanded but can use both hands with all my remotes. With this I’d be forced to only use the right hand. Or at least it would be awkward to use the left for the volume.

Dont matter anyway since i am not getting the device. :rofl:

I have one but I had to remove it from the bedroom tv because at night I always hit the wrong buttons on the remote :crazy_face:… drove me crazy, turn the volume down and it ask me to install hulu or sumthin :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:… so I moved the ugoos back to my bedroom and the google streamer is currently homeless. I looked at my formuler on the living room big screen and could swear its said…don’t even think about it… so I just set it on a table in the spare bedroom :cry:… poor little guy… almost another Rudolph story :joy:

I know, right? I couldn’t stand the remote that came with my Onn4k so I went and purchased a dif one off Amazon… :grimacing::call_me_hand:

Recently my ONN 4K updated overnight and I noticed most of my apps had disappeared. When I did a reset the box connected ok to my BB wifi as normal but it now says the device is setup for North America only and wont go any further. This sucks as this was working absolutely great for months until this update happened. I have tried everything such as saying Im in USA or Canada etc but it seems to know my location as soon as I connect to my ISP and I cant go further (to Surfshark for instance) to change my IP. The device has become a brick here in England for me which is sad at best…anyone got any ideas or input??

When you say it wont let you go to shurfshark, what do you mean?

You cant click on the app? It wont open? It wont let you change locations?

Maybe a different vpn?

If there isnt an easier way, and hopefully someone in the uk can help you, perhaps having the vpn go through the router before it gets to the Onn.

This was probably done so you have to get the European version of the Onn.

I changed my vpn location to London and the menu options at the top changed from Live, Apps and Library. To Live being gone and Movies and Tv shows appearing.

But the Onn still worked and there were no updates available while in London location.

No its not an option. When you run through the actual setup procedure from scratch the first thing it runs through is the wifi connection. Once connected it wont go any further past the flash screen saying this device is for North American region only. Never did it previously and it was workung fine for minths. Now i cant get to any workable screen for apps vpn etc.

Funny since I upgraded my TV I don’t use my Onn box anymore. It dosen’t seem to make any difference in the quality. Unless I’m missing something the apps I commonly use are easily loaded onto my TV and play exceptionally well.

I think it would depend on the tv OS and what apps you use. I can’t get kodi, downloader or Smarttube on my Samsung TV.

Did you try a factory reset? But i think you would need the vpn through the router already set up in north america.

I don’t have an ONN but if I remember correctly someone said to have your vpn active on your phone, connect to the phone’s HotSpot and then connect your Onn to that hotspot with your VPN set to say NY and see if you can update the Onn or configure it that way. Of course a vpn on the router would also work.

Just curious,so many people seem to love this box,but I was just reading an article on aftv news,showing several boxes scores and onn was dead last.other than the low price,am i missing something?

Yes please disregard that. The ONN 4K Pro delivers and at $39 a hell of a price. Don’t believe everything you read. Love my ONN box

Most “experts” score based on speed or Antutu ratings where 2 extra seconds to pull up a movie (or game) is an ETERNITY. Problem is I’ve got 2 seconds. ONN Pro plays great with lots of storage at a great price … just bot my 2nd one!
