Thanks, but how do I do that? I am unable to get to the settings to do a factory reset. My remte is paired, but all I can get into is Netflix, Disney, and Paramount+.
Great news, getting my Onn 4K Pro in the next day or two, looking forward in setting this baby up, then bye bye to my Fire devices.

Sorry I don’t think you can exchange just remotes. Its pot luck for now if you order online. In store you can check the serial number and know the remote type inside.
Is having a backlit remote that important?

I actually H-A-T-E, with a capital H, the remote that came with the Wally Pro. Whew! glad I got that off my chest.
Anyhow, I keep hitting the Down function when I trying to hit the center OK button. When watching a Smarttube video I can’t figure out how to pause other than hitting the OK button to bring up the pause function. The backlight only comes on when you hit a button which is kinda useless.
I had bought an Amazon Alexa Voice remote several months back since I wasn’t a fan of the Shield Pro remote. For the life of me I couldn’t get that remote to work on the Shield so I set it aside. I figure that I would give it a shot on the onn box. Lo and behold this remote turned on the Shield and it works almost perfectly. And it’s back- lit! Go figure, huh? 
Sooo, I’m waiting for Mr. TXRon to try out all of his collection of remotes to see what he says.I just don’t want to start buying a bunch of remotes and suffer the wrath of my better half.

Just received my Onn 4K Pro, it came with the backlite remote with the free tv button 
.
I quickly set this up on my lunch break, now after I get home from work going to customize to my liking, this box is very heavy compared to my Onn 4k one

To be honest the 1st bluetooth remote I tried did all I need…volume, on and off and the back button and arrows…all set

Just got my second Pro today too but with the “Limited Edition” 
Non Backlit/Non Free Tv Button. Get them now before they are all gone.

For those that do get the basic remote, or for those with the Onn 4k boxes, I still recommend this cover for it.

After setup, installed all my apk with no problem, ATV Launcher Pro no problem so far all is working just great. I had 2 problems with my regular Onn 4K box, screen sizing and RCA TV selection , the remote would not recognize the TV. So on the new Onn 4K Pro, the screen sizing is now ok on the TV but it still does not recognize my TV, so have to use 2 remotes, not a big deal

Look in Settings>>>remotes and accesories>>> set up remote buttons, and make sure its all on CEC (volume and power buttons)
TXRon, will try this, Just don’t have mush faith in this because when I selected to setup TV and selected my RCA model, all the 14 models did not power off the unit or the volume.
just home for lunch, turned on the pro box, went to remote and accessories>>>set up remote buttons and made sure both power and volume setting was on CEC, then hit the power button no the remote, the box turned off only, not the TV,
Just watched a quick video review of the onn 4k pro by the Couch Potato Cafe channel on YouTube. He apparently knows someone in Walmarts corporate office and they told him that $50 will not be a permanent price and that it’s eventually going to go up to $70 . Take it for what it’s worth, don’t shoot the messenger

You said you set the Onn Remote to CEC…is your tv set up for CEC? That woud be for multiple devices like a sound bar etc. Right?
You may want to try a different tv remote setting, like IR. Assuming your tv uses IR for its remote.
If you just need your tv and Onn to power on together just use ir for your tv. The remote should already recognize the onn.
At least i think it should.
Otherwise I’d contact Onn about the missing RCA remote setting. Maybe there is a fix.
