That could be, they don’t change,at least that’s what mine does.

The regular 4K has a single light that when my TV is powered off it is Red and when my TV is on and I change my input to that box it is white.

I must have a special Wally box then?

I have the Red lights when on and white light for a brief moment when I turn off the voice switch. I don’t use that feature, so its switched to off.

No thats exactly what I have too. I leave the voice recognition on but dont use it too much. I think thats the standard for them all but who knows. The changed the remote so maybe they changed other things too.

My main reason for asking is that most likely the unit goes into a low-voltage standby mode. Probably just a minuscule amount of power is drawn which really shouldn’t generate much heat.
As far as the shut off timer setting, it seems that would be more for a situation where you on the home screen or paused in the middle of an operation (movie). Like if you are away to make a snack or answer the doorbell.

Wow This is so Strange! I keep my 4k Pro Box on all Day I have no Red Lights like you and @Mslea . The only lights on the Pro are the White ones if I use the voice control.

@MarkxG,
You must have the voice recognition switched to on. Botton is on the side of the box. When to switch button to on the Red lights will appear.

Yes I do but that shouldn’t effect the Red lights not being there? Or maybe it does. Let me turn it off and see if I get the red Lights
EDIT: - you are spot on @Mslea flipped the switch on the Box and now I see Red Lights.

Thanks, good to have, in case. I’ve seen Tduk my other “go to” tuber, drill holes in a f/stick , long time ago. But its a last resort thing, I’d say.

Just a side note for kodi users and other playstore apps…
If you are in a different source (cable, ps4/5 etc), you can say Hey Google open Kodi. The tv will switch the source to your Onn and open kodi. I also tried this with YT, Downloader and Max. All 3 also worked. SmartTube was not recognized. So i think its only for playstore approved apps on the Onn.
It also worked from all the devices being off and powered them all on but I think that will depend on your setup.
And of course Voice recognition must be on.

I set up my new 4k Pro yesterday 6/8 following your video as I did with my first ONN Box. Following your videos is a piece of cake. Boy your good. Thanks. My remote has back lite.
Everything is working great.

The usb port will not work at all. Is there a way to fix it or do I need to take it back to walmart? thanks

You may want people to know what “wont work at all” means. Tough to help you if you dont explain the issue.
If convenient and you are savvy with how the device works and think its broken, i would definitely return it. Get a new device and start over. If the problem still exists, then maybe you are doing something wrong.

The only thing that won’t work is the usb port. I just tried to take it back to walmart and they said it was past the 30 day return policy.

Ok sorry to hear that.
I dont use the USB port, but a lot of people here do, so maybe explain what you are trying to plug into the Onn Pro. Are you getting an error message?
And do you know anyone that bought one inside the last 30 days? If you catch my drift?

Exactly, more information on what you tried and what it is saying could help us troubleshoot. What size USB drive are you trying to use, what brand, etc etc. I know Troy always recommends staying away from anything over a 128gb stick as that could cause issues or not read properly.

Lol, I was thinking the same thing. Yep, TP has mentioned several times to use 32gb external drives.
